Rumifolks — formerly known as Rumi The Poet's Cup — is one of Singapore's most beloved Muslim-owned café destinations, now located at 28 Bali Lane in the heart of the historic Kampong Glam district. After devastating fans with the closure of their iconic 64 Haji Lane outlet in March 2025 — the Straits Times called it "Hurts more than a break-up" — the team quietly rebranded and reopened just streets away at Bali Lane in April 2025, upgrading from a sole proprietorship to Rumifolks Pte. Ltd. (UEN: 202439474R). The new space features a brighter interior with plants, books, and quirky decor including a Star Wars X-wing and retro Fender amp, while retaining the warm, inviting atmosphere that made the original a cultural touchstone.

The menu has expanded significantly from the drinks-and-desserts focus of the old location. Savoury options now include Truffle Shoestring Fries ($11.90), Croissant Egg Mayo ($9.90), Croissant Avocado ($11.90-$12.90), Croissant Smoked Salmon ($12.90), Rendang Beef Pie ($13.90), Jalapeno Cheese Brezel ($13.90), and even a Wagyu Steak ($42.90). The Loaded Fries have been called a "sleeper hit" by reviewers. Desserts remain a highlight with the Art of Mason Waffles ($12-$13) — chocolate Belgian waffles with double chocolate chip ice cream, Kinder Bueno, marshmallows, and chocolate drizzle — alongside cheesecakes (Mango, Blueberry, Speculoos at $7.90; Yuzu Osmanthus and Royal Chocolate Deluxe at $8.90).

Coffee and creative beverages are Rumifolks' true signature. The Pandan Latte ($8) is the most-mentioned item — its distinct pandan fragrance has made it an Instagram favourite. The Iced Strawberry Matcha ($9.50) has been called "worth crossing town for," while the Rumi Teh Tarik ($8) ice-blended, the Hazel Malt ($8) inspired by Ferrero Rocher, and the Salted Caramel Macchiato ($8) are long-time fan favourites. The Iced Sea Salt Macchiato ($9) earned a "1000/10" rating from Lemon8 reviewers. Rumifolks also offers Butterscotch Americano ($7.50), Iced Creamy Latte ($8), and Iced White Mocha Chip ($9).

Operating hours are Monday-Thursday 12pm-11pm, Friday 2pm-12am (late start for Friday prayers), Saturday 12pm-12am, and Sunday 12pm-11pm. The café offers both indoor and outdoor seating with self-serve drinks and table service for food. While pricing is slightly premium, customers consistently acknowledge that the food quality, generous portions, and overall experience justify the cost. Rumifolks has earned a 4.6/5.0 Google rating from over 500 reviews, cementing its status as a must-visit halal café in Singapore's most culturally significant Muslim heritage district.
