Halal Food in 11 Canberra Link
Integrated within Canberra MRT Station along the North-South Line, 11 Canberra Link represents Singapore's commitment to sustainable transit design and community connectivity. The elevated station, designated NS12, opened on 2 November 2019 as the network's second infill station, strategically positioned between Sembawang and Yishun to serve the growing residential catchment in northern Singapore. The building stands out for its distinctive nautical architecture, designed to resemble a ship when viewed externally, paying homage to Sembawang's historical significance as a British naval base. This design earned the station Platinum certification under the Building and Construction Authority's Green Mark for Transit Stations, making it the first MRT station to achieve this distinction through eco-friendly materials and innovative green features. A unique architectural feature is the platform-level overhead bridge, the first of its kind in Singapore, which directly connects to the adjacent Canberra Plaza shopping mall. This seamless integration has transformed the location into a bustling transit-oriented hub where commuters can access retail, dining and services without leaving the climate-controlled environment. The station's accessibility and modern facilities have made it a central anchor point for the Canberra neighbourhood's commercial and social activities.
