Halal Food in Bedok Bus Interchange

Opening its doors on 30 November 2014, Bedok Bus Interchange marked a significant milestone as Singapore's seventh Integrated Transport Hub. The modern facility replaced the original interchange that had served residents for 32 years since 1979, transforming from an open-air terminal into a sophisticated air-conditioned complex integrated with Bedok Mall and Bedok Residences. The original Bedok Bus Interchange was pioneering in its time, introducing Singapore's first colour-coded queue scheme and serving as a crucial transport node for the rapidly developing Bedok new town. After the old interchange closed in November 2011, services operated from a temporary facility while construction progressed on the new integrated development. The current interchange achieved the Building and Construction Authority's Green Mark Platinum Award, recognising its sustainable design and energy efficiency. Serving approximately 40,000 commuters daily, the interchange connects residents from Bedok, Tanah Merah, Bedok Reservoir, Upper East Coast and Marine Parade to destinations across Singapore. Its seamless integration with the MRT station and retail facilities exemplifies Singapore's commitment to creating convenient, passenger-friendly transport hubs that serve both functional and commercial purposes.
