Coastal PlayGrove opened as a transformative 4.5-hectare family destination at Area B of East Coast Park, built on the former Big Splash site at 902 East Coast Park Service Road. The facility features Singapore's tallest outdoor play structure, a 16-metre Play Tower with the island's highest outdoor slide reaching from the fourth floor, designed in vibrant colours echoing the original Big Splash water slides. The free public facility offers multiple play zones catering to different ages and abilities. The Vertical Challenge presents rope-based obstacles including stepping pods, hammocks, grip walls, and disc swings, open Tuesday to Sunday from 8am to 10pm. The wheelchair-accessible Water Play Area features wading pools designed to resemble natural streams, operating Tuesday to Sunday until 8pm. The Nature Playgarden invites exploration through three distinct trails: a bamboo trail, a butterfly-attracting exotic shrub section, and a native plant trail leading to a sand pit. Accessible via the Amber Gardens Underpass, Coastal PlayGrove has become a cornerstone of East Coast Park's appeal, offering families an exceptional outdoor experience combining active play, water fun, and nature discovery along Singapore's beloved eastern coastline.
