Halal Food in Downtown East Mall
Since officially opening on 5 November 2000, NTUC Downtown East has transformed 147,000 square metres of Pasir Ris into Singapore's premier family entertainment hub. Run by NTUC Club, this sprawling complex goes beyond conventional shopping malls by integrating leisure, entertainment, retail, and accommodation into one vibrant destination designed specifically for families and youth. The centrepiece attraction, Wild Wild Wet, holds the distinction of being Singapore's largest operating water park as of 2024. Its signature Ular-Lar ride, a three-storey high raft water slide, was the first of its kind in Southeast Asia when introduced. Beyond the water park, visitors can explore E!Hub shopping and entertainment complex, which opened in 2008 with Cathay Cineplexes on level four, arcade games, and a large indoor playground for children. Don Don Donki supermarket operates from 9am to midnight daily, serving both residents and guests at D'Resort accommodation. Reaching Downtown East requires a short bus ride from Pasir Ris MRT station on the East West Line, with services 3 and 89 covering the ten-minute journey. This integrated approach combining Market Square's shopping precinct (E!Avenue and E!Hub), recreational facilities, dining options ranging from Korean BBQ to Japanese cuisine, and the MUCE community engagement centre has cemented Downtown East's reputation as eastern Singapore's answer to comprehensive family entertainment.
