Jurong East MRT Station (NS1/EW24) is one of Singapore most significant interchange stations, connecting the North South Line and East West Line in the heart of Jurong East. Opening on 5 November 1988 as part of the MRT extension to Lakeside, this elevated station has grown to become a major transport hub serving the western region of Singapore. The station strategic location along Jurong Gateway Road places it at the centre of a thriving commercial district, with direct access to premier shopping destinations including Jem, Westgate, and IMM Building.
