Halal Food in Pasir Ris MRT Station
Pasir Ris MRT Station (EW1) serves as the eastern terminus of the East West Line, positioned strategically in the heart of Pasir Ris along Pasir Ris Central. Since opening on 16 December 1989 as part of the MRT Phase 2A expansion, this elevated station has been a vital transportation hub for residents in the eastern corridor of Singapore. The station boasts excellent connectivity, with direct access to Pasir Ris Bus Interchange, White Sands Shopping Mall, and Pasir Ris Mall. Its island platform arrangement allows for efficient train turnaround operations, handling the terminus duties with two elevated platforms that operate alternately. The integrated bus interchange provides seamless connections to multiple bus services serving the broader Pasir Ris and Tampines areas. Looking ahead, Pasir Ris station is set to undergo a major transformation by 2030 when it becomes an interchange station with the Cross Island Line (CRL), bearing the new code EW1/CR5. The future Cross Island Line platforms will be situated 47 metres underground, making it one of the deepest stations in Singapore. This development will significantly enhance connectivity between the eastern coastal region and central Singapore, providing residents with more efficient travel options across the island.
