Zao Dao Shu Shi counters with one of Singapore's best plates of wanton mee, offering remarkable value with just two price points at .50 and .50. The springy noodles, plump wontons, and perfectly balanced seasoning demonstrate that exceptional hawker food need not break the bank. Early risers flock to the hawker bakery that opens at 6am, where freshly baked goods fly off shelves in the morning rush. The old-school bakery produces traditional treats including red bean mochi buns, egg tarts, and various savoury pastries that provide breakfast comfort for the neighbourhood.
