Abang Gemuk Bukit Batok is now available at Block 134, Bukit Batok West Avenue 6, as the Hillgrove Gardens outlet has closed. Due to its proximity to Eden School, Millennia Institute, and newer Bukit Batok West BTO HDB apartments, this off-grid location seems to generate good footfall.
Cheap, halal-friendly food is the main focus of Abang Gemuk's marketing strategy, and it works well. They have many great items on their menu that are tasty and easy on the wallet. The choices are plentiful, and there's even a special budget meal for the underprivileged. Look out for their bright yellow exterior and the large halal logo. Be sure to order their mains, which are either the rice or pasta set, and get a side dish like Cheesy Chicken Popcorn. Your stomach will thank you.

Pretty extensive menu and good prices. Had the black pepper steak and it was cooked as requested and easy to cut. The sauce was good, and the side portions were huge. It was ready in 10-15 minutes, which was not bad. However, the makcik manning the stall alone seemed to be in a bad mood, so the service could definitely improve. Otherwise, it's relatively okay for a Western neighbourhood stall.

I chanced upon this brand on Grab when I was craving late-night western food. I ordered the fish and chips, and it was so good! The fish was juicy and crispy, and the mashed potato was yummy. The fries were also hot when delivered to me. So, I decided to come down personally to eat. It did not disappoint! I love the fish and chips – crispy and juicy as usual. The staff attending to me was super friendly as well. They have improved and deserve more positive comments. I was here on a Monday night at 8:45 pm.
