Al-Ameen Eating Corner has been an iconic 24-hour halal dining destination in Singapore since April 1992, now in its second generation of family operation. The Woodlands outlet at 35 Marsiling Industrial Estate Road 3 (#01-11, Central Industrial Estate, Singapore 739257, tel: 6366 1740) is one of the most popular supper spots in the north, serving the community around the clock with an astonishing menu of over 320 dishes spanning Indian Muslim, Malay, Thai, North Indian, and Western cuisines. The 24-hour operation makes it a lifeline for late-night diners, shift workers, and anyone craving a hearty halal meal at any hour.

The prata selection is legendary, ranging from simple Kosong ($1.50) to loaded options like Cheese Mushroom, all served with Al-Ameen's signature mutton curry. The Coin Prata with Mutton Curry is a standout — crispy coin-shaped prata paired with tender mutton cubes in rich gravy. The Maggi Goreng Super ($7) delivers intense wok hei with mutton in a sweet and spicy sauce. Mutton Briyani ($8) features fragrant basmati rice, while the North Indian section offers Butter Chicken, Palak Paneer, and Chicken Tikka ($8-$15) with naan ($4). Thai dishes like Thai Chilli Chicken Cutlet and Tom Yum, and Malay staples like Nasi Lemak, Lontong, and Mee Rebus round out the massive menu.

Al-Ameen also operates locations at 2-4 Cheong Chin Nam Road in Bukit Timah (now rebranded as "Ameen Makan House" with its own website) and Blk 343 Yishun Ave 11. The Woodlands branch features a dedicated musollah (prayer room) with ablution facilities, making it a complete dining and worship destination for Muslim families. Foodpanda delivery is available, with a second Woodlands delivery-only location at 785E Woodlands Rise. While some reviewers note inconsistent delivery quality, the dine-in experience — especially the late-night atmosphere and the sheer breadth of the menu — keeps Al-Ameen firmly established as one of Singapore's most important Indian Muslim eateries.

The entrance was hard to find; they should put up a sign. There weren't many food options, and no dosas! I ended up trying the Chicken Kothu Paratha and Chicken Fried Rice. The fried rice was a bit bland, but the Kothu Paratha was good. I hope they improve!

Teh Halia is excellent. Good balance of ginger juice and teh. A little frothiness would have completed the experience. 5* Fritter was cold. Decent in taste, but I reckon it would have been excellent if it was at least warm. 4* Maggie Mee Goreng was flavorful and came with 2 small pieces of fried chicken which were average. 3.5* Kway Teow Kuah was very much a disaster. The Kway Teow was not blanched through, resulting in it being stiff. The kuah was good. With only a few strands of cabbage and an egg, there was nothing else. No bits of protein nor peas. Come on, for the price! 2* Service is prompt. Upon ordering from the server, the food will be served to your table.

Wanted to try mee goreng but I ordered the wrong one, opting for Thai style instead of Mamak style. It was okay, but not the usual mee goreng. On my second visit in May '25, I tried the Mamak mee goreng with chicken. The portion was huge, but I found the taste to be so-so. The chicken was also very dry. The butter chicken, however, tasted very nice and I recommend trying it. It was creamy and flavorful.

Stumbled upon this eating house on the way back from JB. Amazing food! Everything about this place is great! It's open till 2 am, making it the best spot for Indian Muslim supper. Their mee goreng mamak is one of the best I've eaten so far; it's hard to find a place that serves mee goreng merah the correct way and with the right taste. The beef soup was also flavourful and peppery, and the chicken rice is nice too. I'll definitely come again to try their kambing soup! I was quite amazed by their cooking speed too. The place was rather full, yet all the food arrived within 15 minutes. The staff are also friendly. The only downside is the parking.

During our dinner gathering with three of us, we decided to try out this restaurant that offers a variety of cuisines, including North Indian, Muslim, Western, and Thai food. However, we were a bit disappointed when the service person provided us with a menu that seemed incomplete. Drinks like coconut and canned drinks were not listed on the menu, which left us wondering about the full range of beverage options available. Despite the initial confusion with the menu, we were pleased to discover that the restaurant accepted both e-payment and cash payment methods, making it convenient for all of us to settle the bill. As for the food, we ordered a selection of dishes from different cuisines. To our delight, the taste of the dishes was quite decent, and we found the overall spiciness level to be manageable, as it was not overly spicy. The variety of flavors from the different cuisines added an exciting twist to our dining experience, and we appreciated the diverse range of dishes available. Overall, while the incomplete menu and missing drink options were a minor setback, the positive dining experience, delicious dishes, and the option for various cuisines made the dinner gathering enjoyable. We would consider visiting again in the future to explore more of the restaurant's offerings and perhaps inquire about their full drink menu.
