Ambeng Cafe by Ummi Abdullah was a celebrated restaurant that brought authentic Javanese cuisine to Singapore, located at East Village Mall in Bedok. The 60-seater establishment was helmed by Ummi Abdullah, who earned the prestigious nickname "queen of nasi ambeng" and was featured in the Top 50 World Street Food Masters List.

The restaurant specialized in nasi ambeng, a traditional Javanese communal meal consisting of a mountain of rice accompanied by an array of meat and vegetable side dishes beautifully arranged on a round tray. Ummi Abdullah's journey is one of remarkable resilience. Despite facing a 00,000 debt, she persevered and built a successful halal F&B empire. The menu featured four sets ranging from 4 to 8, including dishes like ayam kalio, beef rendang, sambal sotong, ikan sambal bali, urap kencur, sambal goreng, begedil, telur belado, and their signature sambal belachan. Each dish was prepared with traditional methods and authentic spices.

Located at 430 Upper Changi Road, Unit 01-65, the cafe became a destination for nasi ambeng enthusiasts. However, according to recent information, the establishment appears to have closed, marking the end of what was once a thriving culinary landmark in the eastern region.
