I used to have this Nasi lemak before the renovation, and I thought it was nice and decently priced. The price of this Nasi lemak set is $5.60. It's pretty pricey for this in a heartland hawker centre. As you can see from the photo, the chicken wing is quite dry. There are better ones out there.

The chicken wing and bergedil were okay, not memorable. My batch of rice was on the mushy side. Good for those who like soft rice.

The $5.00 standard nasi lemak set includes the usual 1 egg, ikan bilis with peanuts, rice, and 1 chicken wing + 1 fish cake. The sambal chilli is not spicy and a bit too sweet for my liking.

I remember this stall from before this food centre underwent a major, long renovation. I wanted to give them a try on my past few trips, but they were either sold out or closed. I was quite fortunate that they were still operating around 12:30 pm. However, there weren't many dishes left. My meal cost SGD$4.90 and consisted of a fried chicken wing, sunny-side up egg, fishcake, and anchovies & peanuts. Their chili is on the sweeter side. The rice was fluffy and had a rich coconut taste. It's a pity the chicken wing wasn't crispy. Nevertheless, a decent plate of Nasi Lemak.

Back then, I was always excited about Marine Parade Central Hawker Centre, but not anymore. My childhood Muslim food vendor is gone. Today, I decided to queue for a nasi lemak stall. The long queue seemed like a stabiliser to me. There was no set meal available. My plate had a wing, a small, pathetic sambal cuttlefish, two bagedill, and a sunny-side up, packed with a large scoop of thick sambal chilli. There were some ikan bilis, and the damage was $10/- for the plate. I believe you would pay if the food is good, but this wasn't worth the price. The rice was fine but still lacked umami. The wing was dry and over-fried. The cuttlefish was also overcooked and lost its biting texture; I wonder why they cut it halfway. The sambal was not what I preferred. Overall, in the hard-core nasi lemak arena here, they don't stand out at all, in my opinion.
