The chicken cutlet mee goreng looks impressive but falls short on flavor. The noodles were under-seasoned—sweet and one-dimensional, lacking the expected shallot oil depth. The chicken cutlet was decent but served lukewarm, and the processed cheese slice on top felt out of place. The components don’t harmonize well, making the dish feel disjointed. At $10.5 for the set, there are many better options around. An underwhelming plate despite its visual appeal. Skip this and explore other options at the food court.

Personally, I feel it's a downgrade from previous management. The menu items have all been converted to cater to a Halal audience. Pricing has remained the same, but corners have definitely been cut. The fried mantou has been changed to papad. The worst change is the removal of sauces on mains (aside from black pepper or mushroom); we used to have way more choices like cheese. To be fair, the food quality hasn't changed significantly, but if I were to compare the current with previous management, I feel it's a downgrade. If it was a 4.5 before, I'd give it a 3-3.5 now. Attached are the current and previous chicken cutlets.

Loved the generous portions! The chicken was juicy, and the Volcano Cheese Lava Burger was a feast for the eyes. The Level 2 spicy Mie Sedap with fried squid hit just right. Super satisfying!

Updated 12 May 2025 We had a really satisfying lunch at Flips N Dips today! Every dish brought something unique to the table—and even Daniel, who’s Indonesian, gave a big thumbs up to the Kicap Fried Rice, calling it authentically Indonesian. That says a lot! Here’s what we ordered: Mie Sedap with Dory Fish Comfort food done right—topped with a slice of melted cheese and a perfectly cooked sunny-side-up egg with a runny yolk. Simple, indulgent, and so satisfying. ️ Lemak Chilli Padi Pasta with Chicken Chop Hits you with a kick on the first bite, then mellows out with rich coconut milk and aromatic spices. A fusion dish done well—spicy, creamy, and super flavorful. Double Up Chicken One grilled chicken chop + one deep-fried chicken cutlet = the best of both worlds. The cutlet’s batter was super crispy and dangerously addictive. Kicap Fried Rice with Tempura Squid Bold, savory, and packed with that deep, sweet soy flavor you’d expect from proper kicap. The tempura squid was a nice touch too—light, crispy, and not greasy. Great food, generous portions, and casual vibes—definitely a spot we’ll come back to. —— Dec 2024 The fusion dishes were unique and delicious. Here’s what we tried: Mie Sotong Goreng: Malay-style Maggi mee goreng topped with gooey cheese and crispy sotong goreng (reminiscent of calamari)—such a creative and flavorful dish! Fish & Chips: We opted for curly fries and onion rings as sides, and they were perfectly crispy and satisfying. Stirloin Steak: Juicy and well-cooked, paired with fries and tasty tater tots. Volcano Lava Three Cheese Burger: A standout! Thick, juicy beef patties with nacho cheese oozing out—truly indulgent and satisfying. Overall, the food was flavorful, portions were generous, and the fusion concept was executed wonderfully.

Located within the halal Cantine (food court) at Paya Lebar Square. If you can’t decide between grilled or fried chicken, get the Double Up Chicken (Grilled & Fried) at $20.50. It's good for 2 people and comes with a choice of 2 sauces (dips). I loved the cheese and mushroom sauces. My daughter enjoyed the Truffle Cream Pasta Seafood ($22.90), which was super creamy and had fresh seafood. The Volcano Lava Cheese Burger ($18.90) is literally dripping with cheese. It features 2 thick, juicy beef patties, cheese, and grilled/caramelised onions. The Mie Sedap is IndoMee with all their sauces, mildly spicy, served with grilled salmon and a sunny-side-up egg for $16.50.
