Gave Junction 8 a 2/5. The mall feels dated and overcrowded, especially on weekends. Limited dining options and long queues make it hard to enjoy. I dropped by for lunch but left frustrated. Other reviews mention the same—a convenient location, but it's sorely in need of a refresh and better crowd control.

Junction 8, located above Bishan MRT Station, has changed and improved beyond recognition. I haven't visited this area of Singapore for over 10 years. With two MRT lines using Bishan as an interchange station, plus the Bishan Bus interchange, Junction 8 is a convenient shopping mall for residents of nearby estates and those who simply change their mode of transport here.

It's just a place for a quick break before you continue on your way. The toilets are usually very occupied. You'd be better off going to the nearby library if you need to use a toilet in this mall.

As a Bishan resident of 10 years, I'm no stranger to this mall. It's good and all, but just cramped. Also, the toilets need improvement; some renovation work would be beneficial. Oh, and please do not visit the Golden Village here – there are better cinemas in the rest of Singapore.

First time here, a pretty cool mall with lots of shops to browse and well-ventilated, not stuffy. The toilets are clean too. The best part is the wide selection of food and bubble tea.

A mall just outside Bishan MRT, it has been around for a long time and went through expansion. It's an older mall, but it has been revamped. There's a good variety of shops, but the mall isn't the kind you get attached to or become a destination. It has nothing special; it doesn't feel or look special. It's functional and convenient because it's close to the MRT, and you can probably find things you need here. I know it's an odd thing to say, but in Singapore, malls are kind of a necessity, as it's not common to find mom-and-pop stores anymore, and sometimes ordinary markets are not conveniently located.
