I was really disappointed with the service and the food. I arrived at Great Thai at 6:38 PM on March 9th and placed my order at the front counter. The staff member then entered the order into the POS system at 6:48 PM. Around 7:06 PM, I went to pay, and the counter staff told another staff member in Malay, 'They sure not this order sent to the back.' The counter staff then told me, 'The food will be a little late, okay?' I understand that it might be a little late, but that doesn't mean my order should only be prepared after all the dine-in customers who arrived after me. It was your fault for not sending the order to the kitchen promptly, so you should have prioritized my order accordingly. Why was my order prepared after settling the dine-in orders who came and ordered after mine? The staff apologized, saying it was a 'full house,' but when I entered, there were at least 3-4 empty tables. What do you mean by 'full house'? The tables outside were also empty. I waited until 7:58 PM for my food to be ready. Customers who arrived after me had already finished their food and left. A large family that arrived after me was also served their food and had already eaten, while mine was not even ready. That's how bad your service was! I was truly disappointed. Furthermore, I paid for boneless fish, but the fish I received seems to have bones! In that case, what did I pay extra for? As you can see in the picture, what is so busy and 'full house' that you're referring to?

Thai Cuisine Halal Service: Excellent Environment: Okay Cleanliness: Good Food: Nice Ordered 2 set meals, which came with a beverage and soup. Both the white and red Tom Yum soups, the Pandan chicken, and the fried chicken wings were all delicious. For beverages, the Thai milk tea tasted okay. The Thai Bandung was too sweet for me. The staff was friendly and polite.

Cosy neighbourhood restaurant! Legit and authentic Thai food which happens to be halal as well; I saw many families dining here. There's an outdoor seating area and plenty of indoor seating. I happened to be there with friends and we decided to have Thai food. Must order the steamed fish with lemon – it's so good, and I'm not usually a big steamed fish fan. The clear lemon-based stock with the steamed fish, not very spicy, is just heavenly and really hits the spot. The crab omelette is filled with crab meat, fluffy, and crispy. And the Pandan fried chicken, papaya salad – it's all very flavourful and fresh. You can customise the level of spiciness for every dish, making it very friendly for people like me who cannot take a lot of heat. Other Thai places tend to make their dishes oily, but Greathai isn't. The coconut shake is very refreshing alongside the hot dishes. Service staff were very fast, polite, and attentive. I will definitely want to come again. It's one of the few places in SG that has good Thai food.

Located prominently at the front of the East Village car park, offering easy access, this halal Thai eatery wasn't too busy on a Friday evening. The service was welcoming and friendly. They offer quite a large variety of food, and we enjoyed the papaya salad; it was a generous portion for the price. The deep-fried tofu was also pleasant, though perhaps a little bland for some, and it arrived last, despite being intended as a starter. The Pad Thai was pretty good – perhaps not as good as the best in Thailand, but good nonetheless. Prices were quite reasonable by Singapore standards. We will come back.

If you’re craving authentic Thai cuisine that bursts with fresh, vibrant flavors, Great Thai is a solid choice worth trying. From the moment you step inside, you’re welcomed by warm hospitality and an inviting setting that combines traditional Thai touches with a cozy, modern feel. The menu is diverse, offering well-loved classics like Tom Yum soup, Pad Thai, and Green Curry — each dish prepared with care and an impressive balance of herbs and spices that reflect real Thai cooking. The ingredients are fresh, and the dishes are flavorful, with spice levels that can be adjusted to suit your preference. The Mango Sticky Rice is a highlight and a must-try if you have room for dessert. Portions are generous for the price, and the service is friendly and attentive overall. The only thing that keeps this from being a full 5-star experience is that during peak hours, the restaurant can get a bit crowded and noisy, and service may be slightly slower than expected. Still, the quality of the food and the warm atmosphere make it well worth the visit. If you’re in the mood for satisfying Thai food in a casual setting, Great Thai won’t disappoint. Recommended!
