Haji Johan Indian Muslim Food, renowned for their exceptional Temasek Indian Rojak, operates from the bustling Tekka Centre at 665 Buffalo Road in Singapore's vibrant Little India district, earning recognition as 'probably the most happening rojak in Singapore' with reviewers declaring that 'Adam Road rojak can move aside.' This third-generation family business is helmed by Mohd Hafiz, who continues his grandfather's time-honored recipe, preparing ingredients in the early morning hours to ensure freshness and authentic flavors that have built a devoted following over decades.
Their signature Indian Rojak features an extensive array of items including crispy prawn fritters, tender cuttlefish, nutritious tempeh (fermented soy beans), flavorful paru (lungs), fresh potatoes, perfectly fried eggs, and coconut dough, all served with their famous thick and delicious dipping sauce that customers rave about with the perfect consistency - 'not too thick nor runny, just nice.' With a minimum order of four items starting from $1 each, customers can customize their rojak selection while enjoying complimentary sauce refills, creating a personalized and satisfying dining experience.
The ordering process involves selecting your preferred items, queuing to hand your selection to the friendly staff, making payment, and waiting for items to be freshly fried, expertly chopped, and beautifully presented with garnishing and their signature sauce. Regular customers note 'Patronised this stall many times and I've never been disappointed,' reflecting the consistent quality and welcoming atmosphere that has made Haji Johan a cornerstone of Singapore's halal Indian Muslim food scene and a must-visit destination for authentic Indian rojak enthusiasts.

Not quite what we expected based on many of the recent reviews. The red sweet sauce has too many peanuts, resembling satay sauce. The oil was okay, not rancid and no taste of reused oil. Perhaps it was late, after 5 pm, as some items had run out, like the paru (cow's lung), liver, and fried flour-battered prawn. Maybe we'll give it another try in the distant future. The eating environment is maddeningly noisy as it was a Sunday, with the hawker centre full of migrant patrons having their afternoon meal or early dinner and sheltering from the heavy rainfall.

Paid a total of S$12.20 for the Indian Rojak. Except for the paru (black cow lung), the rest of the ingredients were rather good. The gravy was just alright, as I have had better ones. Overall, I enjoyed the Rojak, especially the prawn fritters, potato, fish cake, and tofu.

It's the only Indian rojak around here. The food is not bad, and the taste is just average. Don't choose too much; 2 pieces per person if you're sharing, and if you're alone, 3 pieces should be alright.
