This is my second time visiting this stall to try their laksa, and today at 2:30 PM++, they were closed. The first time I visited a few weeks ago around 9 AM++, the laksa was not ready yet, and neither were most of the other food items. Only some Malay cakes (kueh-kueh) were displayed at the front, after queuing for a good 5-10 minutes. The lady manning the front of the stall, who appeared to be in her mid-thirties, claimed the laksa would be ready in another half an hour, around 9:30 AM++. I walked away disappointed but decided to return to buy some curry potato puffs (epok-epok kentang) to fill my hungry stomach. Then, I asked the lady again if the laksa would be ready by 9:30 AM++. She said she couldn't promise it would be ready by then, perhaps 10 AM to 10:30 AM++ to be certain. She then asked me why I wouldn't want to wait. I drove all the way from the Northwest side of SG, expecting the laksa to be ready the first time I visited, and I was asked if I could wait. Seriously? A friendly piece of advice: please do not state your stall's opening hours as 7 AM-4 PM if featured food on the menu is not even ready by 9:30 AM++ and the stall is closed earlier than 3 PM! I would still try a third visit JUST for the laksa. I hope and pray that I wouldn't be disappointed again. Who knows, third time's the charm!

Bought putu piring from Ang Mo Kio hub. The service was very slow. The putu piring was not very nice when compared to the Haig Road competitor. Very disappointed.

The putu piring was quite sticky. I much prefer the Haig Road one (I think it's 5 for $3.50 there). It was 4 for $3.50 at this stall.

This $2 fritter is soggy on the outside and mushy on the inside. The filling consists of what seems like mashed potato and carrot; I did not taste any chicken as advertised by the stall assistant. I will not be getting this again.

Is the prepared food tasted before serving? It seems to have too much salt, sugar, etc. Quality control doesn't seem to matter anymore. It used to be a favourite... reasonably priced and tasted pretty good. BUT almost two years into this pandemic, suddenly the mee siam (and mee rebus) are too salty/overpowering, and the laksa is bitter from too much kunyit. The only thing still passable was the lontong. In hard times like this, don't make us throw away food, and after spending money, we are still hungry?

Live station laksa for 100 pax - this laksa isn’t as creamy/coconutty as the Katong laksa that is more commonly found, but it is incredibly aromatic and tasty from the spice blend. It tastes somewhat like a hybrid of Kelantan and Katong laksa. The catering service was easy to engage, and they came on time to set up the stall. We all loved the food. Will definitely consider Lemaq for my future events.

At $3.00 a plate, no one comes close in terms of value and taste. Though it didn't come with a boiled egg, my plate was delicious to the max! The broth is the star - definitely freshly prepared, not from a sauce pack. Umami from dried shrimps permeated through the thick gravy.

I found out about Lemaq from a TikTok post and decided to give it a try. I really like their laksa, which is an authentic old-generation recipe. And if you're lazy like me and have no one to impress by making roti kirai, you can save that energy and time by buying it from them. It's perfection, including the curry. The mee hoon goreng is like mee siam without gravy. I've been looking for this type of mee hoon goreng for a very long time, but none have quite hit the mark for my taste. They don't have the taucu. I know how to make it perfectly, but I wanted to buy one that tasted like it was cooked by someone else. After five months, I finally found it, complete with taucu.

Located at Blk 511 Bedok North food centre, it's easily sighted as it faces the road running alongside the food centre. I had the mee rebus and roti kirai. The mee rebus was filled to the brim with nice chunks of tofu and chicken, draped in a flavourful, thick, savoury brown sauce! The roti kirai was nicely soft, and the curry was very flavourful with a chunk of potato and a drumlet. You've got to try out the roti kirai; you won't regret it!
