The teh halia is one of the poorest made i had ever tasted...over brewed tea with bad aftertaste gin
The teh halia was one of the poorest I've ever tasted. The tea was over-brewed with a bad ginger aftertaste, and I couldn't taste the milk at all. I had to add more milk to counter the yuck aftertaste. The teh tarik bought was fair, though it could have been better.

We visited on 19 September 2025 at 7:30 PM. The two staff members working at Yassin Kampung (the cashier and the cook) were not welcoming. Upon our arrival, they gave us hostile looks. When we started to order, one of them seemed to judge us for using a CDC voucher. We also requested takeaways. Initially, I requested a takeaway and was not charged. However, when a non-Malay customer requested a takeaway, she was charged 30 cents. The staff need more training in manners and customer service. We treated them with respect, but they did not reciprocate. Please look into this matter as it may affect more customers. The chickie cashier was friendly and even recommended good flavours for their chickens.

We went on Saturday night after it had rained. The place was quite cool and windy after the rain. Not all the stalls were open, but we ordered the roti sarung burung for $8 and naan with masala chicken for $12. Both were quite nice to my taste. The tables were cleaned, and the atmosphere was comfortable too.

Overall, the concept was nice... but it stops there.
The food was bland. Price on the higher side.
Overall, the concept was nice, but that's where it ended.
The food was bland and priced on the higher side. Even though there were fewer people when I visited, the service was still slow.
The Sarang Burung Prata was just okay and quite expensive. I wouldn't recommend the BBQ Korean Set; it's really not worth it. Also, avoid the Thai Chendol – I'm not sure what they were serving.
The food tray return area wasn't cleared for about two hours, which made the place look a bit messy.

Came to try Bobmi noodles and Ramly burger here. The noodles (lijio) were quite good, but some might find them a bit pricey at $7.90 for what seems like a Bak Chor Mee equivalent at a hawker centre. The Ramly burger was okay, but again, $7 for the burger alone seems a tad pricey.
Overall, the ambience was not great. It's tucked right at the end of Yishun (though it's near Yishun MRT), quite dim, and doesn't exude a clean vibe somehow. There were giant fans installed, which helped since there's no AC.
Also tried the Singbola chicken rice, which was quite good. The rice was fragrant and the chicken tender. I loved the spicy chilli sauce.
