#MakanBoleh is one of the many stalls in Seah In Food Centre recommended online for its Epok Epok during afternoon hours. It was a surprise that their fried fritters were wiped up pretty fast when they are doled out from the kitchen. I had no choice but to exercise "Kiasu" behaviour and hurried over to join the queue. However, those customers in front of me made my heart beat faster when I heard their orders each time, as they were buying a lot, and I wondered if there would be enough in the batch for my purchase. The Banana Balls were dark brown in colour with a crispy exterior skin, but as we sank our teeth in, the texture was spongy and the inside was filled with air pockets. To my surprise, the Banana Balls were packed with banana fragrance, and I could not resist having more even though I had just completed my lunch. I had Vadi recently, and even though this Vadai is of original flavour (plain), the fragrance is commendable. Enjoy your pieces of Vadai, munching together with the green chillis. This needs no introduction. There are many versions of names, whichever you call it: curry puff, kali pap, or even Epok Epok. Apparently, #MakanBoleh is lauded for their Epok Epok. The $1 you spend here is a bang for your buck. The crust cradles the fillings tightly, not allowing them to disintegrate. The ingredients are generous, and the taste is consistent. The potatoes were firm, and you get a quarter of a hard-boiled egg within. What I liked most was that the fillings are moist, and this is definitely one of the better Malay Epok Epok that I have had for a dollar.

One of the best foods there! The epok-epok is selling hot and while stocks last. The stall opened at 4:30 am pre-COVID, and now post-COVID, it opens as early as between 5:40-6:00 am. The range of food and taste is overwhelmingly yummy! Never disappointing over the years! Must come and must try!

Only managed to try their sardine puff. Pretty awesome. Thin crust and full of sardines, though a bit on the sweet side. Not sure if they sold anything else. The stall was dark, and they only had the JB sardine puff. Unsure if they sold out of the potato or if they didn't make them today (Monday).
