Be careful with the bespectacled granny; she seemed like she was scamming me. I only bought one nasi lemak, one large meatball, and one curry puff, and was charged SGD 8.30. Stupidly, I only found out after I was already on the MRT towards the airport. When I checked the price on Google, it shouldn't have been that expensive.

On 18/09/19 at 6:30 AM, I went to the Old Chang Kee at Kallang MRT to buy an item. I was wearing a black shirt. I drew money and only had a $10 note, with no $5 on me. I bought three items, and the staff told me I had to pay $5. What a joke! It felt like a scam to get my money. I will not support this place and will tell my friends not to buy from this cheap shop with cheap staff. Scamming $5, what a joke.

Good for filling your tummy with snacks in the evening. It's very popular among the local workforce. You'll usually find a 'buy 2 get 1 free' offer, but I recommend not going for it if you're single, as it might lead to overeating. Flavours available include Chicken, Kaya, Prawn, Fish, and Veg. By the way, don't forget to grab some sauce/ketchup when you leave – it's free for anyone who buys anything.
