Opah Satay stands as Singapore's premium halal satay destination, proudly holding the title of "Best Halal Satay in Singapore" as the flagship in-house brand of SBY Frozen Food Supply, one of the nation's most trusted halal meat producers. Operating from their facility at No. 1 Kaki Bukit Road 1, this establishment has revolutionized traditional satay dining by combining authentic charcoal-grilling techniques with modern convenience and quality assurance.
The restaurant offers an extensive selection of traditionally prepared satay varieties including chicken, beef, mutton, babat (beef tripe), and paru (beef lung), all priced from S$0.70 per stick and served with the essential accompaniments of cucumber, onion condiments, and rich peanut gravy. Their signature satay sets feature grilled prawns paired with spicy soy sauce alongside rice cakes (ketupat), creating complete meal experiences that honor traditional satay culture while meeting contemporary dining expectations.
Opah Satay has modernized the satay experience through comprehensive catering services starting at $2,000 for events requiring a minimum of 3,000 sticks, alongside convenient online ordering with promotional offers. Their commitment to advance planning—requiring 2 days notice for delivery—ensures optimal freshness and quality, while their frozen satay options allow customers to enjoy restaurant-quality satay at home, cementing their position as leaders in Singapore's halal satay market.

Today's lunch crowd wasn't too heavy during peak hour at 12:30. However, the tables were full of sauce stains and oily. I didn't notice any cleaner around to wipe them. The famous paofan, char kway teow, and Hokkien mee tasted bland and were below average. The food standard could have been better, especially considering the Michelin award. Overall, the rating is below expectation.

The food is great and the atmosphere is fantastic. There were so many choices to eat, we decided to purchase from different hawker stalls and share. I can see why this establishment is so popular; the building itself is a work of art.

Amazing variety of food and such a lively atmosphere! We went multiple times during our stay and always had a great experience—we tried grilled seafood, Korean dishes, Chinese classics, and more. Every time, the food was delicious.
The setting is very cozy and comfortable, with a traditional market-style vibe where you simply grab what you want from a stall and enjoy it anywhere in the hall. Outside, the street transforms into an open-air dining area in the evening, which is super nice with a great view of the city’s skyline—it’s really something special.
Highly suggested if you want to enjoy authentic flavors in a unique and vibrant environment. A must-visit food destination in Singapore!

Well known as a stop for "satay".
This is the famous 'satay street' for a reason. All satay shops serve satay with chicken, mutton, shrimp, and beef options, all of which are delicious. I waited for the food for only 15 minutes.
There are also plenty of other food stalls with Korean, Japanese, and Thai dishes if you want more variety.
It's self-service; you'll need to return your tray before you leave.

An open street food concept within an open dining food hall. The food options are plentiful and the food is really good. You can't go wrong here. We ordered from both popular and less crowded stalls, and to our surprise, some of the less popular ones were excellent too. Sorry for the eaten food in the pictures, but I was really hungry!

If you love fish, you must try the fish-head soup. The fish is fresh and naturally sweet, served with some vegetables. The ladies at the soup shop are also very nice.
I also tried the oyster omelette from another shop. The egg tasted good, even with just a few oysters.
The fresh coconut I bought from the drinks shop was at room temperature. It would have been much nicer if it were cooled.
And remember to clean up your table, otherwise you could be fined!
