The business traces its roots to 1999 when founder Sabidah started selling traditional Malay fare at pasar malams, including Ramly burgers, otah and kueh. Today, second-generation owner Afiq Irwan operates two PerghChicks outlets in Bugis and Jurong West, having transformed the family's pasar malam stall into permanent establishments. Located at Bali Lane in the vibrant Arab Street area, PerghChicks specialises in ayam percik that stays true to traditional coconut milk-rich preparations while adapting to local palates with increased spiciness and reduced sweetness.

The menu features their signature Percik Wings and Honey BBQ options, available in boxes or sets. Their Instagram-worthy Nasi Kukus Volcano has become a crowd favourite, combining Malaysian-style steamed rice with curry in a visually striking presentation. Prices remain accessible, with sets starting from under ten dollars.
