Sederhana Singapore at Kampong Glam Shophouses

Sederhana Singapore is the first local outlet of Indonesia's Sederhana nasi padang chain, which has more than 200 restaurants across Indonesia plus branches in Malaysia and Melbourne.

It soft-opened on 29 May 2026 and held its official opening on 14 June 2026 at 738 North Bridge Road — the former site of Warong Nasi Pariaman, which closed after 78 years. The Straits Times reported the Singapore outlet is Muslim-owned. Co-owner Asyraf Rasheed has said the spice mixes come from Sederhana Indonesia so the recipes stay authentic.

Typical dishes include beef rendang, ayam pop, telur barendo and gulai tunjang. Hours reported by Time Out and ST are roughly 7.30am/8am to 5.30pm/6pm daily. This is not listed as MUIS-certified on our directory — treat it as Muslim-owned unless a MUIS certificate is displayed at the counter.
