S.J. Sickander Ammal Muslim Food has been dishing out comforting Indian-Muslim cuisine at Eunos Crescent Market and Food Centre for over two decades, built on family recipes that span at least three generations. Run by Mohamed Baruk and his wife, this stall represents the dedication of a family committed to preserving authentic flavours and traditional cooking methods that have stood the test of time.

The signature dishes that keep customers returning are the prata served with fish or mutton curry, and the flavourful mee goreng. Mohamed has spent years honing these recipes, perfecting the balance of spices and techniques that make each dish memorable. The prata arrives crispy on the outside yet soft within, ideal for sopping up the rich, aromatic curries that simmer with layers of spice and depth. The mee goreng delivers the smoky wok hei and savoury-sweet notes that define a great plate of fried noodles.

Operating daily from early morning until late evening, the stall serves an extensive menu of Indian Muslim favourites beyond their signature items. The longstanding presence at Eunos has earned them a loyal following, and their success led to a second outlet at Yishun Park Hawker Centre. Whether you are grabbing a quick breakfast prata or settling in for a hearty lunch, S.J. Sickander Ammal offers the kind of honest, flavourful cooking that has made them a neighbourhood institution over the past twenty years.

Couldn't resist the temptation of their Rojak display, so I decided to give it a try today. They have a wide selection of Indian Rojak items to choose from, all deep-fried until they have a crispy exterior. Their peanut sauce was a bit watery, not too spicy, with a hint of sweetness. Price-wise, it's quite affordable too. Give it a try if you like Indian Rojak. I also tried their Mee Goreng ($4.50), which had a nice charred flavour. The bright red noodles were spicy, sweet, and savory. Definitely a classic favourite at this stall.

Decided to go for this Indian stall as I spotted a shorter queue. Had 2 kosong with fish curry. The prata were relatively hot, and dipping them in the tangy fish curry was quite ideal. The curry could taste more pleasant with a hint more heat.

This shop is run by Singaporean Indian Muslims, and they make delicious Roti Prata which is crunchy outside and soft inside. If you go in the morning, you may have to stand in a queue to get Prata, however, their service is fast so you won't get bored. Apart from Prata, they also sell Mutton Soup, Nasi Goreng, Mee Kuah, Murtabak, Mutton Chop, etc. Their Roti Prata is recommended.

Located next to Eunos MRT, which is convenient and accessible for everyone. I recently had the Nasi Goreng Ayam, and it never disappoints. It's extremely delicious with generous portions. I would always return to this stall to satisfy my Indian food cravings. Highly recommend! Also, their prata and fish curry are to die for. Their prata is tasty and special, so good even on its own.

I had the Prata Banjir here, a prata combo loaded with curry. It was of standard quality, nothing extraordinary, but still satisfying. The price is also normal. I would recommend avoiding Sundays due to the long queues β€” I’m guessing people flock here for other dishes like the Mee Goreng Mamak and Mutton Chop, or so I’ve heard. Overall, it’s definitely a great spot for your prata fix!

Mee Goreng: Smack! It had that mild charred smell, but not burnt. Noticeable amount of minced meat, not too dry, and very flavourful. Prata dough is soft; I preferred it crispier on the outside. The fish curry has a well-balanced taste – the curry, the sourness, and the viscosity are just right (not watery). Kway Teow Kuah: Not bad, I'd say. There's a hint of cinnamon taste in the gravy with minced meat. I should have ordered it spicier.

The best Indian Mee Goreng I've tasted . Other dishes like mutton chop, mutton soup & bonesteak are also recommended. Waiting time might take a while, but good food needs time . Parking is easy to get as there are two carparks near the hawker centre. Eunos MRT Station is right in front of the stall. Price-wise, it's really worth it for the portion and taste. Keep it up!!!
