I've tried many Penang laksa in Singapore and Penang. Hands down, this is the best! It's a well-balanced explosion of flavours. The seller personally imports the correct kind of noodles all the way from Penang. If you know how to appreciate this dish, it's definitely worth $10. You simply cannot find anything this good in Singapore.

Visited Super Star Original Famous Penang Laksa at 32 New Market Rd, #01-1002B, located in People's Park Food Centre, Chinatown.
This halal-certified spot is open daily from 1 PM to 11 PM. I tried their Kampung Penang Asam Laksa, and it’s one of the best laksas I’ve ever had!
The flavors were incredible, though it might be a bit spicy for some.
I also tried their small portion of cockles, which was a treat. The owner is super friendly, and they accept PayNow for payment.
Highly recommended! If you’re in the area, make time to try it—I’m already planning my next visit!

As a devoted fan of Penang Laksa, I recently Googled "Best Penang Laksa in Singapore" and discovered a hidden gem.
The stall I visited not only met but exceeded my expectations—it truly transported me back to Penang! Every ingredient was fresh, fresh, fresh—the broth, the herbs, the noodles—all bursting with authenticity.
The owner (a warm, kind, and sincere lady) made the experience unforgettable. You have to try it to believe it!
For comparison, I also tried a Michelin Guide Penang Laksa stall in [Location omitted] which was awarded in 2024... but the taste? Let’s just say it didn’t leave a lasting impression.
This makes me wonder: Do media buzz, food judges, or even the Michelin Guide truly reflect quality?
I sincerely hope "Super Star Famous Original Penang Laksa" continues thriving—we need more humble stalls like this preserving authentic flavors!
