Standard dropping like mad to the point where now i only receive barely-warm or even cold takoyaki.
The standard has been dropping significantly. Now I only receive barely-warm or even cold takoyaki. I've been visiting for a few years, and in the past, there was a long queue and they served hot, fresh food. However, over the past year, they've been pre-making the takoyaki and leaving them on trays to cool. They are no longer hot and fresh like they used to be. Nevertheless, I'm still giving 2 stars instead of 1 for the great taste.

Good portion, huge balls. Big chunks of prawn and octopus. However, I was a little disappointed to bite in and find that that was all inside – just the solo ingredient, with no spring onions or other usual additions to tako balls. The ball itself tasted a bit too much like soggy bread; it's hard to describe otherwise unless you try it. Expect to wait about 40 minutes on a Wednesday evening at 7 pm.

I was served by a Chinese lady who was very rude and seemed bothered to serve her customers well. She didn't even say thank you. I am a regular customer at East Village, and this was my first time being served by her. I told her that the takoyaki wasn't even warm, and she just snatched the food and replied rudely, "YOU HAVE TO WAIT 10 MINUTES" with an unhappy face. I wonder how she works there.

The food is great as usual. I've been a customer since they started and have had no disappointments so far. In fact, I even collaborated with them during my uni days!
Truly one of the best halal takoyaki you can get in town.
However, the issue I have with Yummy Takoyaki is the pricing on their website. For uninformed customers, please read the prices carefully before clicking "add to cart".
You'll notice that some bundles are more expensive (by a few dollars) compared to buying the same quantity in individual boxes. I find this a bit confusing because we're accustomed to bundles meaning "paying less for more", but Yummy Takoyaki's bundle pricing doesn't follow this normal retail convention.
To be fair, I must admit that a few bundles (probably 2-3, correct me if I'm wrong) are indeed cheaper when purchased as a bundle. So, I'm unsure how they actually set their bundle prices.
I discovered this when I wanted to get the epok2 bundle. One epok2 is $1, but 15 were priced at $22. I was shocked to see I had to pay an extra $7. Upon asking, they explained it was an error and should have been $20. The extra $5 was for a tray.
I'm not saying their pricing strategy is wrong; it's their choice how they market. Just be very careful when ordering bundles! Do your math first.

Decent takoyaki that's best enjoyed when freshly prepared. Crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. However, the mayonnaise was too much and too overwhelming, which ruined the balance of the dish. The waiting time was quite long. Pricing was reasonable.
