The quality of the food is not as good as before. The chilli sauce and sweet sauce lack the punch they used to have. However, it is still one of the better Yong Tau Foo shops around.

The two staff who served me were very rude and pushy, insisting I speak Mandarin to them. I am Malay, and this is a halal establishment. Shouldn't they expect more Muslims and Malays to patronise here, many of whom cannot speak Mandarin? The target audience is quite different. I thought that was basic common sense. Fortunately, another staff member came and spoke to me in a language I could understand. I feel that if the cashier cannot speak my language, then the shop doesn't deserve my business. Why bother coming to a place that treats me rudely and forces non-Chinese speakers to speak a language they are not expected to understand?

Don't get me wrong, the food is as good as you can expect from any normal YTF shop. Just beware when ordering online because they might miss items from your order. So please check and double-check. We've experienced this multiple times before, and they don't seem to have improved.

For a yong tau foo place in the west side of SG to be Halal is a godsend, and it's always a go-to spot to satisfy my YTF cravings. However, despite serving good food, I was deeply saddened and disappointed by my recent trip when I was served by a rude staff member (a young Malay lady). On top of not understanding my order, she gave disgusted looks and was even laughing with other staff while I was standing at the counter. Only when a senior staff member repeated my order to her did she understand. To make matters worse, she assumed and told the other staff that I wanted it 'take-away' when I had clearly not specified. I told her it was for dining in, and she immediately rolled her eyes at me. I don't expect 5-star hotel levels of service, but to have this kind of attitude, especially in the service line, is unacceptable. Please do hire proper service staff next time with at least basic levels of respect for others, or it will definitely drive away potential customers.
