Located on the ground floor of Block 3. Firstly, orders can be placed either at the counter or using the QR code on the table. Regrettably, I chose the QR code method. After completing my order and making payment, there was no indication of my order number, when I could collect my order, or how I should collect it. I had to go to the counter to check. In short, the ordering system was below expectations. For the food presentation, the plate was very big, but the quantity of food was miserable. The rice portion was far too little to fill my stomach. Also, the rice was wet and lumpy (as seen in my photos), so it didn't taste good. The saving grace was that the chicken was good.

Pathetic and pricey. The potion size has been downsized. The fish fillet is the size of a hash brown. The fried chicken quantity depends on the mood of the serving staff; sometimes you get one or two pieces.

The kueh is a bit dry. The nasi lemak is not bad; I love the lemongrass in the sambal, and the condiments are fresh. The Nonya laksa is good!

WORST experience ever! We hadn't even gotten to order when my helper, who was assisting my grandma in her wheelchair, was berated and scolded. They literally shouted, 'OI MAID MAID CAN DONT COME IN CAN OR NOT NO WHEELCHAIR.' Like, if we weren't allowed, please just tell us without shouting like that. If I had been the one pushing the wheelchair, would they have shouted the same way? It's a hospital, isn't it normal to have wheelchairs around? If wheelchairs aren't allowed, let us know, put up a sign?
Never EVER patronising this place again. Such a disappointment.

I have to say this first: I married a Peranakan, and they are really fussy with their traditional foods. That said, it also means I've been exposed to legitimate home-cooked Peranakan food and have also been taken to legitimate Peranakan restaurants for meals.
Rempah was a mixed experience.
Their flagship, Chilli Padi, is amazing. Legit, authentic Peranakan food that even the pickiest nonya would appreciate.
Rempah, on the other hand, was a bit of a letdown.
The problem could be me not managing my expectations.
I came with my wife and decided to taste as much food as possible. Here is a summary:
Mee Siam (*to be fair, Peranakans are not very known for Mee Siam; it was just something I wanted to have*) - it was decent, not amazing or fantastic. I've definitely had better.
Ayam Buah Keluak - the Ayam was nice, with good seasoning and good earthy flavours. The chap chye, on the other hand, was bland.
Kueh Pai Ti - a cute novelty that kids might love, as you have to fill in the kueh yourselves. Taste-wise, so-so.
Kueh Kuehs - Kueh Dardar had dry skin and was too thick. Kueh Salat had not enough kaya and too much rice. Ubi was bland.
However, their kopi was nice.
