Halal Food in 31 Nanyang Link
Situated within Nanyang Technological University's Yunnan Garden Campus, 31 Nanyang Link houses the Wee Kim Wee School of Communication and Information, Singapore's only full-fledged communication school. Established in 1992, the school was renamed in 2006 to honour the late Dr. Wee Kim Wee, Singapore's fourth president and a distinguished journalist whose career embodied the highest standards of media excellence. The institution operates from a purpose-built facility that represents a significant investment in communication education. Originally constructed at a cost of $22.6 million, the gleaming four-storey building at the western edge of the Yunnan Garden Campus houses state-of-the-art print, audio, video, photo and multimedia technology. A fifth floor was later added to accommodate the school's expanding programmes and growing student population, reflecting its evolution into a leading centre for communication and information studies in the region. Over the years, WKWSCI has built an impressive legacy that extends beyond its physical infrastructure. The school has raised more than $27 million for the Wee Kim Wee Legacy Fund and established a $4.5 million endowed professorship. Today, it continues to shape the next generation of communication professionals, offering undergraduate and graduate programmes that blend theoretical knowledge with practical skills, preparing students for careers in journalism, public relations, media analytics, and digital communication.
