Halal Food in Changi Airport Terminal 4 (T4)
Changi Airport Terminal 4 at 10 Airport Boulevard opened in October 2017 as Singapore's boutique terminal, bringing innovation to the airport experience through biometric technology and Fast and Seamless Travel (FAST) services. This two-storey, 25-metre-high building with 225,000 square metres of floor area accommodates up to 16 million passengers annually across 21 contact gates and 8 bus gates. The terminal's award-winning design earned the 2018 Prix Versailles Architectural Award for South Asia and the Pacific, recognising its state-of-the-art approach to passenger flow and aesthetics. Over 80 shopping and dining options fill the terminal, creating a lifestyle haven for travellers. The implementation of biometric technology reduces manpower requirements while increasing efficiency, as passengers move through immigration and boarding using facial recognition systems. Free shuttle bus services connect Terminal 4 to Terminals 1 and 2, with the pickup point at Terminal 2 Arrival Hall Door 1 and dropoff at Terminal 4 Departure Hall Door 3. While Terminal 4 lacks direct MRT access unlike Terminals 2 and 3, the shuttle service maintains connectivity across the airport complex. The terminal represents Singapore's investment in aviation infrastructure, where technology enhances passenger experience while improving operational efficiency, maintaining Changi Airport's position among the world's leading aviation facilities.
