Halal Food in Dr Kitchen - Tampines
Situated at 137 Tampines Street 11, this building is part of a major HDB development that began construction in 1982 and was completed by 1986. Tampines Street 11 consists of 35 blocks housing over 2,200 residential units, with many blocks completed between 1983 and 1985 during the rapid expansion of Tampines New Town. The street is named after the "Tempinis" tree that grew abundantly in the area before development transformed the landscape. In the 1970s, this area featured undulating hillocks and deep craters from sand quarrying, with more than 26 sand quarries operating at the sector's peak. Tampines Town's successful transformation earned it the World Habitat Award in 1992 from the Building and Social Housing Foundation, and the town has been designated as a regional centre since the early 1990s. Today, Tampines Street 11 serves as a mature residential neighbourhood with comprehensive amenities, excellent transport links via Tampines MRT, and proximity to shopping centres including Century Square and Tampines Mall.
