Halal Food in Old Chang Kee @ Ang Mo Kio MRT Station

Ang Mo Kio MRT Station (NS16) is one of Singapore oldest and most distinctive MRT stations, having opened on 7 November 1987 as part of the original five stations that launched the nation MRT network. Positioned at the junction of Ang Mo Kio Avenue 3 and Ang Mo Kio Avenue 8, adjacent to Ang Mo Kio Town Garden East, this elevated station serves as a major transport hub for the mature Ang Mo Kio estate. The station features a unique configuration with four elevated platforms in a double island platform arrangement serving three tracks. The outermost platforms handle regular North South Line services, whilst the middle track served by Platforms C and D facilitates train withdrawals to Bishan MRT Depot during post-peak hours and late-night operations, as well as train launches from the depot during morning peak periods. This sophisticated setup ensures efficient fleet management and service reliability. Excellent connectivity defines Ang Mo Kio station, with an underground walkway linking it directly to AMK Hub shopping centre, Ang Mo Kio Bus Interchange, and the Ang Mo Kio Town Centre. The station has four barrier-free exits, including Exit C which connects to AMK Hub basement level. Looking to 2030, the station will transform into a major interchange when the Cross Island Line opens, with construction already underway following the award of a 44 million contract in July 2021 for the new CRL platforms and tunnels.
