Long queue during lunch hours. This is a very popular chicken rice stall, indeed very welcome by the neighbourhood. First time trying, so I decided to take away a package of poached white chicken rice. Unfortunately, the stall owner or order taker seemed to have a hearing issue. Despite mentioning it twice, they still gave me the wrong fried chicken rice instead. I only discovered this when I got home. So, I will judge and review based on what I tasted. Although it was obvious that many customers ordered white poached chicken rice, you can tell that the poached chicken is smooth, juicy, and shiny on the plate. Unfortunately, the fried brown chicken I received was not juicy or moist; it was dry in texture and slightly bland in taste. However, luckily the rice was good, tasting fragrant and moist. I hope I have another chance to try their poached white chicken next time and adjust my Google review score for better food quality and meal experience. Not recommended if you are not poached chicken lovers. Welcome to my food sharing Instagram: jiankuekgourmet. 欢迎游览我的美食IG: jiankuekgourmet

Yummy chicken rice, with tender chicken and a generous portion. The stall aunty is super friendly as well. The rice doesn’t feel overly oily or heavy.

Run by a nice aunty and uncle, I've been buying from them for over 4 years. The chilli is great, the rice is nicely flavoured and pairs well with the roast chicken. The price is definitely worth it.

Authentic Chicken Rice with a Vibrant Local Vibe! This chicken rice stall offers authentic Singaporean chicken rice. The flavors are exactly what you’d expect—tender, juicy chicken… though I didn’t try the rice, the chilli is a must-try! The soup is tasty, but could be better. But it’s not just about the food. The hawker center itself is filled with a lively local atmosphere, and depending on when you visit, you might even catch live music from local buskers. It’s a true slice of Singapore, especially during the mornings when the place really comes alive. Great food, unbeatable prices, and a perfect spot to soak in local vibes. If you’re in Singapore and craving chicken rice, this is the place to go!

The chicken was so tender and soft, and the chilli was very good! The owners were also very courteous and welcoming.

Surprisingly good and affordable Hainanese chicken rice at Upper Boon Keng Food Centre. The portion of chicken is generous for the price, offering excellent value. I tried the roasted version – it was flavorful and paired perfectly with the fragrant, well-cooked rice. $9 for 2 pax. Highly recommended for anyone craving a satisfying chicken rice meal without breaking the bank.
