Allauddin's Briyani stands as one of Singapore's most distinguished halal biryani specialists, operating since the 1950s as a family-run establishment that has earned prestigious Michelin Plate recognition in 2021 and continued MICHELIN Guide Singapore recommendation status through 2025. This authentic South Indian-style biryani institution maintains its flagship location at Tekka Centre while expanding to Ayer Rajah Food Centre, Redhill Hawker Centre, Toa Payoh, and Geylang East Food Centre, demonstrating the scalability of traditional family recipes without compromising quality or authenticity. The restaurant's seven-decade journey from humble hawker beginnings to Michelin recognition represents the successful preservation of traditional Indian Muslim culinary heritage within Singapore's evolving food landscape.
The restaurant's signature offerings feature mutton, chicken, and fish biryani preparations, each served with fragrant yellow basmati rice infused with proprietary spice blends that have been refined over generations of family ownership. The mutton biryani has earned particular acclaim for its tender meat and rich flavor development, while all preparations include traditional accompaniments such as tender meat curries, papadums, and achar (pickled vegetables) that complete the authentic biryani experience. The family's commitment to grinding their own spices ensures consistency and quality across all dishes, with affordable pricing around $7 for main biryani dishes and optional add-ons including chicken sambal, fried chicken, fried fish, or mutton cutlet for $4 each, making premium biryani accessible to diverse customer segments.
Operating daily from 8:00am to 8:00pm across multiple locations, Allauddin's Briyani has successfully maintained traditional preparation methods while adapting to modern ordering conveniences, including contact ordering through 87889987-Ahamed for advance arrangements. The Michelin Plate award specifically highlighted their authentic preparation methods and remarkable consistency despite operating in high-volume hawker environments, proving that traditional family recipes can achieve international recognition while maintaining affordability and accessibility. Allauddin's Briyani represents more than just a restaurant; it embodies the successful intergenerational transfer of culinary knowledge and the preservation of authentic Indian Muslim cuisine within Singapore's multicultural dining heritage, demonstrating how family-owned establishments can achieve critical acclaim while serving as cultural ambassadors for traditional South Indian biryani preparation.

According to my taste, this is not the best chicken briyani in town—it’s just so-so. The best briyani in Tekka Market is from Samad’s Tekka Dum Briyani and Yakader Muslim Food.
The curry sauce is not thick, tasteless, and seems like it had more water added.
Overall, their briyani lacks a distinct aroma and spice kick—it’s bland.

Briyani rice not that fluffy and moist..The mutton curry looks similar with others briyani eateries.
The biryani rice wasn't very fluffy and moist. The mutton curry looked similar to those at other biryani eateries, with nothing particularly special. Overall, it's a good biryani, but there's a lot of room for improvement. The space was also crowded and congested.

Well known for Briyani by many, but I found the food to be very average. The surroundings and the food court seemed very busy during lunchtime. It's better to do takeout than dine in. There was not enough meat on the bone.
Mutton Briyani comes with a boiled egg, raita, red spicy curry, and papadams.

It is overrated simply because it got a Michelin bib. Briyani was not really Briyani, rice and meat
It is overrated simply because it received a Michelin Bib. The biryani was not really biryani; the rice and meat were cooked separately and served together. It was pretty tasteless, and the dalcha was watery. They should just call it ghee rice with mutton instead of biryani! Michelin inspectors have it completely wrong on this one!

Realised I’ve not reviewed their Briyani even after my family and I have been eating here since 2006
Realised I’ve not reviewed their Briyani even after my family and I have been eating here since 2006.
We’ve always been intrigued to see many Chinese queuing up for their briyani each time we are at Tekka Market.
We like that their chicken briyani has always been consistently good (to us). Friends who I bring along to eat there claim the same as I do.
Never had any issue with their service, and will always come back here for my chicken briyani fix.

Nice briyani. Very fragrant and mouth-watering. The moisture is just right. Ordered the egg version, and it's a really big portion. $5.00 for the lot. Enjoyed the meal. The shop is nearby, and the people are polite.

Ordered takeaway, one set of chicken, mutton, and fish. Unfortunately, I had to pay extra for the pappadum, but the staff did not pack it for me. The biryani is good, but the cracker was missed.
