Allauddin's Briyani stands as one of Singapore's most distinguished halal biryani specialists, operating since the 1950s as a family-run establishment that has earned prestigious Michelin Plate recognition in 2021 and continued MICHELIN Guide Singapore recommendation status through 2025. This authentic South Indian-style biryani institution maintains its flagship location at Tekka Centre while expanding to Ayer Rajah Food Centre, Redhill Hawker Centre, Toa Payoh, and Geylang East Food Centre, demonstrating the scalability of traditional family recipes without compromising quality or authenticity. The restaurant's seven-decade journey from humble hawker beginnings to Michelin recognition represents the successful preservation of traditional Indian Muslim culinary heritage within Singapore's evolving food landscape.
The restaurant's signature offerings feature mutton, chicken, and fish biryani preparations, each served with fragrant yellow basmati rice infused with proprietary spice blends that have been refined over generations of family ownership. The mutton biryani has earned particular acclaim for its tender meat and rich flavor development, while all preparations include traditional accompaniments such as tender meat curries, papadums, and achar (pickled vegetables) that complete the authentic biryani experience. The family's commitment to grinding their own spices ensures consistency and quality across all dishes, with affordable pricing around $7 for main biryani dishes and optional add-ons including chicken sambal, fried chicken, fried fish, or mutton cutlet for $4 each, making premium biryani accessible to diverse customer segments.
Operating daily from 8:00am to 8:00pm across multiple locations, Allauddin's Briyani has successfully maintained traditional preparation methods while adapting to modern ordering conveniences, including contact ordering through 87889987-Ahamed for advance arrangements. The Michelin Plate award specifically highlighted their authentic preparation methods and remarkable consistency despite operating in high-volume hawker environments, proving that traditional family recipes can achieve international recognition while maintaining affordability and accessibility. Allauddin's Briyani represents more than just a restaurant; it embodies the successful intergenerational transfer of culinary knowledge and the preservation of authentic Indian Muslim cuisine within Singapore's multicultural dining heritage, demonstrating how family-owned establishments can achieve critical acclaim while serving as cultural ambassadors for traditional South Indian biryani preparation.

Mediocre. One to avoid. $5.50 for a plate of briyani with only a scoop of acar is a rip-off. Even the acar isn’t how it should be; too salty without any presence of sweetness and sourness; only carrot and cucumber without the usual slices of red onions, red chili, and pineapples. A hard-boiled egg and papadam will require an additional top-up of $1.00. The rice doesn’t seem to be basmati rice. To make up for it, the mutton was tender; hence the 2-star review.

For $5.50, the rice was sweet and the mutton was only the length of two 50-cent coins placed side by side. To make matters worse, there were two large bones, leaving very little meat. No acar, no vegetables. They charge extra for a set. Compared to the Tekka branch I visited many years ago, please give this a definite miss! Hawkers like this will surely die a natural death.

The briyani was just so-so.
I prefer the mutton cut into cube shapes rather than big chunks.
Some lucky people get meat, while some unlucky people get all bone.
One can only eat the mutton using their hands. If you use a spoon and fork, I don't think it's possible to eat cleanly.

Service was slow, and the food was mediocre at best. It cost $6.50 for the set. The plastic cutlery was hopeless. I was not impressed at all; I've had better. This is from the branch of the same named Tekka market stall.

I came here around 7:30 PM to buy briyani. I was happy to know that mutton and fish were available, but there were only a few boiled eggs left. I wanted to check the availability timing if I were to order from Foodpanda. Regarding the meat quantity, it was quite little, but the staff did their best to serve well, smashing the meat into pieces with mostly bone. If you visit earlier in the day, the meat portions should be bigger. I liked their papadum, it was very crispy.

Delicious briyani which is just nice and not overly heavy on spices. The boss serving the food is very courteous and generous, providing a good amount of briyani rice, curries, raita, and sambal. The stall is clean and neat.

Craving mutton biryani on a Sunday afternoon. I asked for less rice, and the server looked at me as if I were crazy. The mutton had a big bone, but the meat was sufficient and tender. The rice was quite oily, and a hard-boiled egg was included. The achar was a disappointment this time; it was only cucumber slices. Oh, a packet of papadum was also given. It was crispy and fresh. Overall, a satisfying meal.

Was not expecting much as this was ordered via GrabFood during a non-peak hour.
The packet of biryani was huge, enough to feed 3 persons.
The chicken was cooked well, not dry. Curry sauce was given in a big pack, although the taste was just normal.
However, the chicken masala was good. The sauce had sufficient heat and was savoury enough; I used it as a sauce for the biryani, chicken, and the papadum dip. The papadum also came in a generous portion, enough for two people to share, and was crunchy and nice.
They should consider using the masala sauce to replace their curry sauce. Simply lip-smacking good.
Not sure if their Tekka stall is better, but for the biryani and the masala sauce, it deserves a good shout-out. Will order the fish biryani to try next time.
