Alley Wei operates within the vibrant Makan Town food area of Northpoint City at 930 Yishun Ave 2, #B1-151 (South Wing), bringing authentic halal-certified Taiwanese street food to Singapore's northern region. This restaurant serves as a cultural bridge, offering traditional and freshly made Taiwanese and Chinese street food favorites that have been adapted to meet halal dietary requirements without compromising on authenticity. The establishment operates daily from 11am to 9pm, providing consistent access to comfort food for the diverse Yishun community.

The menu showcases a comprehensive selection of Taiwanese specialties including silky beancurd with peanut or soymilk options, savory beef beancurd, pan-fried and steamed dumplings, and hearty beef noodles. Popular items include their sesame chicken noodles (.80), pan-fried chicken pau (.50/3pcs), and pan-fried dumplings (.80/6pcs), alongside traditional beverages like soybean milk and almond soybean milk. The restaurant also serves scallion pancakes, youtiao (fried dough sticks), and various noodle soups that capture the essence of Taiwan's bustling night market culture.

While customer reviews are mixed, with some praising the beef noodles as "good standard" and appreciating the authentic beancurd and soya milk offerings, Alley Wei represents an important addition to Singapore's halal dining scene by making Taiwanese cuisine accessible to Muslim diners. The restaurant also operates another location at Tampines Mall, indicating their growth within Singapore's competitive food landscape. As part of a larger F&B group that includes Express Teppan-yaki outlets, Alley Wei demonstrates the increasing demand for diverse halal international cuisine options in Singapore's suburban shopping centers.

Ordered 3 items. Only the beancurd in soy milk was good. The pan-fried dumplings were average. The item with the worst value and taste was the scallion pancake. Please don't order it. It looked like it came straight from a packet, yet tasted worse. It was overly greasy and chewy too. Bad for health. That's the price I paid for not trusting Google reviews.

Firstly, the staff were so unfriendly, except for the aunty who was collecting plates. I probably ordered the wrong dishes. The beef noodle broth was more like vegetable broth, lacking any beef essence. The pancake was very oily and tough.

We passed by the shop and decided to give it a try as it looked good watching other patrons eat. We had the chicken dumpling with beef soup, which was very good. The soup had depth and a delicious daikon umami flavour. The fried jian bing was so-so, with too much flour for most of the filling. The red bean bing also had a skin that was too thick; I would have preferred a thinner skin. The youtiao bing was not bad, but again, I think there was too much flour. However, I will be back to try other things.

I visited on Saturday, 26 April, around 7:30 pm. The food was good, specifically the pan-fried dumplings and the beancurd. However, I was extremely disappointed by the level of customer service I received. The cashier who attended to me (attached) was rude and unprofessional. I wasn't expecting five-star service, but basic courtesy, such as a simple greeting or an acknowledgment of my order, was completely absent. The cashier did not say "hello," "thank you," or even show any facial expression. It felt as though she was uninterested in being there, which created an uncomfortable atmosphere. I hope this will be addressed, as other customers also felt disturbed by it.

To my fellow Taiwanese, I strongly advise avoiding this place. The scallion cake with egg was the worst I've ever had—dry, bland, and utterly disappointing (just look at the photo!). The beef noodles were mediocre but at least edible. As for the carrots and radish, they were overly salty, making me suspect the soup was watered down from an overly seasoned stew. Definitely not worth a visit.

Eating a bowl of beef noodle soup (no beef, so I have stomach space for the amazing gyoza) at this shop is like embodying a sickly Taiwanese child. You wake up on a cold winter's morning, the sky a pale blue through your bedside window. Birds chirp outside, and Grandmother walks in, carrying a bowl of gentle beef soup, filled with handmade noodles, and a side of handmade gyoza. Best beef noodles, tastes like home. Best gyoza too, 10/10. Every time I come to Northpoint, I force anyone I come here with to eat at this shop. I always leave full of warm soup, then food coma for hours. Just a note: there used to be aunties who could speak both English and Mandarin. However, most recently, a young Chinese man manning the cashier got our order wrong. I believe he only speaks Chinese, so be alert of your order and ask for it to be repeated. We were given beef noodles with beef, instead of no beef. I'd rate that a 2/5 considering the beef is the main star, but it is dry, has pockets of unrendered, unpleasant fat still remaining, and isn't particularly delicious. Not worth the hefty added $3 for the meat at all.

Surprisingly yummy! Their beef noodles were of good standard. I was especially surprised by the presentation of the hot soyabean milk in a bowl – I felt like a cat . The dumplings were okay. It was kinda difficult to find, but that’s only because of Northpoint’s confusing layout.

The beef beancurd is basically high protein, low carb. The soup has a herbal flavour and is not salty. The youtiao with garlic is very flavourful. I think it's not bad, especially if you're dieting. It's low oil and low salt. There's self-service chilli sauce, soy sauce, and vinegar if it's not flavourful enough for you. Very wallet-friendly too.

Dumplings made fresh in-store! A great place for quick bites. I also love their scallion pancake; it's good when served hot. I waited about 5 minutes for the food to be ready. The nice atmosphere takes you back to Taiwan. HALAL!
