The chicken was so tough, the hardest chicken cutlet I've ever had. The fusilli was tough and very dry, as if it had been reheated 3 to 4 times. It cost $13.90. Very disappointed. The food was wasted just like that. I tried my best to finish it, but the chicken just could not be cut.

Overall, the food was not worth it. The rice was very mushy, obviously too much water was used. The chicken was half the size compared to when we ate last year. Disappointed with the food quality.

Came here on a weekend to have lunch with my daughter. It was my second time here, and it will be my last. We waited 30 minutes for our drinks and another 30 minutes for our food. Only to realize that my baked rice had NOTHING but cheese and egg, which cost me $7.90. It was expensive like mad, like daylight robbery.

Frankly speaking, the food is not that nice. The spaghetti was a little mushy, stuck to my teeth, and was quite tasteless. It tasted like either poor quality spaghetti or it was cooked badly. The cream sauce lacked any creaminess, tasting only of black pepper.
The teriyaki chicken tasted okay... really just okay. We saw the menu online stating it cost $8.50, but when we came here, it was $10.90. It's quite a jump in price, but still somewhat acceptable, even though the food was really not good. The environment was okay, though, as it's within a library. If it were located elsewhere, we would never go there to eat. But would we go here to eat again? No... probably not. It really doesn't taste good. Many children ate here, though, and it feels a little pricey for children's food. The kids' menu and regular menu are priced the same, with different portion sizes.
Reply to owner: I forgot to add that the kids' meal includes a babycino or triple chocolate. We ordered the triple chocolate, and it tasted pretty good with a solid chocolate taste, unlike some that mix Milo with cheap chocolate powder. This triple chocolate is a good, solid drink.

Edit (dropped 5 stars to 3): Went back another day at 7pm and was told there were no more pearls. I asked the staff what time the pearls usually sell out, and she was unable to answer. I was surprised by her answer; if she's worked there long enough, why wouldn't she know when the pearls usually run out? If they're out, why wouldn't they make another batch? I don't think I'll patronize again. Disappointed.

Very decent mains, even though it seems to be more of a dessert cafe! The chicken rendang, cream pasta with teriyaki chicken, and salted saba with rice are all good options to try. You can top up a little more to get a drink with your meal as well. The only downside is that the kitchen seems to be small, and it took a while to fulfil our orders.

I like the atmosphere here, with cool air-conditioning and comfortable seats. The staff are friendly and patient when taking orders.
My verdict on their food:
I'm totally satisfied with their milk teas; they are not diluted. The iced Americano is also not bad. The tomato fusilli is okay, and the teriyaki chicken chop is quite nice. The katsu chicken portion is very small, and the cream cheese spaghetti is overly diluted. While it's served in a bowl, I would prefer spaghetti on a plate. The rendang chicken rice looks rather plain.

Ordered the Oyakodon and Japanese Curry Rice with Tornado Egg and Chicken Katsu. The food was so delicious that I almost swallowed my bowl whole . I just wish the potatoes were a little softer. P.S. The Earl Grey milk tea and honey milk tea were awesome.

It's nice to see a cafe situated within the Punggol Regional Library. The ambience is very good, calm, and relaxing, with everyone engaged in their own leisure activities. I visited on a Saturday and it was full when I first arrived. However, after exploring the library and returning a second time, I was delighted to find seats available. I ordered their brown sugar pearl fresh milk, and it was actually not bad, with reasonable quality compared to typical bubble tea standards.

My buddy and I decided to head to Artease Cafe, conveniently located inside the 1 Punggol Library, to satisfy her dessert craving. We opted for the Pistachio Chocolate and Crawford Mint croffles with gelato, ordering one Croffles with Gelato (Mint Choc Chip) for S$9.90 and one Pistachio Chocolate for S$5.00, totaling S$14.90. The Pistachio Chocolate was a delightful choice, with a perfect blend of sweet and nutty flavors that complemented the crispy croffle. For those with a sweet tooth, I highly recommend the Pistachio Chocolate – it's truly delicious! The real star, however, was the woh woh waffle, worth the 15-20 minute wait. It had a unique and delicious flavor, with a crispy texture and a hint of buttery goodness. The quality of the ingredients was evident, with high-quality ice cream that was both flavorful and smooth.
The staff were friendly and helpful, but the lack of Wi-Fi was a noticeable absence, especially given the library setting. While they suggested connecting through Wireless SG, providing Wi-Fi would definitely elevate the experience. However, the cafe's location within the library also brings a unique challenge: it can sometimes be a bit rowdy with students studying and using laptops for discussions. This is the only downside that prevents me from giving it a 5-star rating.
What makes Artease Cafe particularly suitable for the library setting is its lack of service charge and GST, making it a more affordable option for students. Overall, I enjoyed the delicious desserts, the pleasant ambiance, and the friendly service, making Artease Cafe a worthwhile spot for a sweet treat while visiting the library. If you're looking for a quiet study space, this might not be the best choice, but for a casual dessert break, it's definitely worth checking out.
