All is great except for the large-sized staff member with spectacles who was raising his voice for no reason. I politely asked him as I didn't know, wanting to understand. Even if he didn't know or knew something, he should have replied with a soft tone and good gesture. Customers around looked shocked too. I suspect he might be Malaysian; a large-sized guy wearing specs at the Seah Im outlet. Disappointed with such behaviour from him.

I live far away and only visit this stall once in a blue moon. I ordered the ayam penyet for 6.50 SGD, though my friend encouraged me to get the chicken rice instead. The price seemed expensive, and it appears to have gone up since my last visit before COVID. They've switched to disposable crockery, which is problematic as the plastic fork and spoon are too soft to cut the chicken, forcing me to eat with my hands. The chicken was very oily, but the skin was nicely done and crispy. The meat itself was tasteless, but it became very nice when eaten with the sambal. The sambal was great, with just the right level of spiciness for me, not overwhelmingly so like at some other stalls. Another good point was the ability to add crispy bits from a container to our liking; they paired well with the white rice, which was cooked well with the right texture. There was also a small bowl of salted soup. Overall, it might be something worth trying. The afternoon sun shone strongly into this side of the hawker centre, making it quite hot to eat here.

Very polite sellers and quite delicious fried chicken. The green chilli was tasty but not overly spicy. Unfortunately, the meal was served in disposable plastics even for dine-in. The chilli sauce was a bit too gingery. E-payment is available.

Had a craving for Ayam Penyet style chicken rice and decided to give this stall a try. Their rice was quite flavourful, and the chilli had a nice kick to it.
However, I found their chicken a bit on the dry side. Ultimately, I felt something was lacking as my craving wasn't satisfied.
So I ordered chicken only from Farasha by Intan (also reviewed), which was in the same hawker centre. Farasha's chicken was moist and tasted better. I couldn't have eaten two plates of Ayam Penyet including the rice, hence I only ordered the chicken from Farasha.

Got the lemon and the sweet and sour sauce, loved both of them!
Chicken is tender and crispy, rice is fragrant, and the soup has the right balance of salty. A satisfying meal overall!
The utensils are a little difficult to eat with, though.

Wow. Soft and tender on the inside, crispy and fragrant on the outside. I ordered the No. 7 fried rice with chicken. Don't be fooled; you get real chicken portions. It's like ayam penyet with fried rice. What tops it off are the free crisps and tasty chili sauce. Will come again.

Aspirasi chicken rice isn’t your typical Chinese-style chicken rice—it’s got a unique charm that feels like a warm hug on a plate. The fried chicken is perfectly crispy, yet somehow manages to avoid being greasy, which is a culinary miracle in itself. It’s my first time here, and I can already tell it won’t be my last. The flavors are comforting, the vibes are homely, and yes, I’m officially a fan. Highly recommend giving it a try—you might just fall in love, too!

Located at Seah Im hawker centre. This is the original location for crispy chicken rice. Friendly service here too. I ordered the black pepper chicken rice with extra chicken, and it came up to $10.50, which I thought was a pretty good price. The rice portion was also quite decent, and it comes with a small bowl of soup and unlimited crispy bits that you can scoop yourself. The chilli was a little on the sour (and not spicy) side, but still okay.

Aspirasi has been a true local gem since 2002! Their fragrant rice, crispy chicken, and delicious sambal never disappoint – always served with a warm welcome and generous portions. I’m so glad they’ve finally opened at 380 Clementi Ave 5, much nearer to my place in the west. I'll definitely be dropping by often to support this local heritage brand. Highly recommended!
