We couldn’t enjoy our favourite dishes here. The rice was undercooked, the vegetables weren’t properly boiled, and overall, the taste was not up to the mark. However, the service and ambience were good.

This is a place I will not return to. The price is far too high for the quality of food served, and the service was very slow. We had almost finished our appetizers before the main dish arrived. The ice lemon tea was bitter, and when we asked for sugar, it took the waitress over five minutes to bring it.

Honestly, the food isn't that great for Thai cuisine, nor is it great for Indonesian food. In trying to be both, it doesn't excel at either. The Tom Yum soup was perhaps the sweetest tomato soup I've ever had. Nothing really stood out, even after sampling multiple dishes.
The upside was that the service was relatively attentive and good, unfortunately let down by the quality and taste of the food.

The tom yum was too spicy and sour for me, but the teh tauhu telur was good. The Chiang Mai chicken tasted too sweet for my liking. However, the services and environment were tip-top. There's a 5% discount for joining the Katrina group membership.

Visited Bali Thai at CWP and left pretty disappointed. We ordered the Ayam Panggang, Nasi Goreng Istimewa, and Tom Kha (chicken). For drinks, we got a young coconut and Thai milk tea.
The Ayam Panggang was dry and lacked flavour—only the belacan chili saved it. The Nasi Goreng Istimewa was anything but special. The menu photo showed achar, anchovies, and other sides, but none of those came with the dish; it only came with satay, meat, salad, and crackers. I specifically ordered it for the achar, so that was really frustrating. The only highlight of the meal was the Tom Kha soup—it was flavourful and comforting.
The “young” coconut wasn’t young at all. The flesh was tough and barely edible, which completely defeats the point of ordering one.
I flagged the issues to the waiter, but he just mumbled to himself and didn’t offer any proper resolution. For a meal that cost over $30 per person, this was seriously underwhelming. Hope the management takes this feedback and improves both food quality and service, and depicts whatever is served accurately on the menu.

My family and I had a wonderful dinner at Bali Thai Suntec last night, and we have to give a special shout-out to James. He is truly a gem and one of the best service staff we’ve encountered in a long time.
From the moment we sat down, James was attentive, warm, and genuine — not just to our table, but to all the tables around him. He anticipated our needs without us having to ask, was quick to respond to any requests, and made the whole dining experience exceptionally enjoyable.
The little details really stood out: he served with a smile, checked in at just the right times, and efficiently cleared empty dishes in between courses so we could fully enjoy our meal. When dessert came, our table was perfectly ready, thanks to his thoughtfulness.
Food-wise, the Steamed Lemongrass Fish was outstanding — fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. But it was James’ hospitality that elevated the evening. His attentiveness and efficiency made our simple family dinner feel truly special.
It’s rare these days to come across someone in F&B who combines professionalism with such genuine care, and James is exactly that. Bali Thai Suntec is lucky to have him, and we’ll definitely be back not just for the food, but also for the excellent service he provides. Highly recommended!

Workday Friday lunch with friends. The chicken wrapped in pandan was surprisingly good, tender, and quite substantial. The sotong was a bit underwhelming. There was a short wait to get seated, even though there were no other customers, but the food came pretty quickly. Not the cheapest, but the flavours were good.

A casual diner serving Indonesian and Thai cuisine. The food was flavourful and the service was speedy. The restaurant is located in a section of the mall with very high foot traffic, so it can get quite noisy.
