Chic-a-boo Fried Chicken, nestled in the heart of Marina Square at level 3, offers a distinctive halal-certified fast food experience that rivals major international chains while maintaining its unique farm-to-table charm. Located at 6 Raffles Boulevard, this spacious restaurant features rustic wooden furnishing that creates a welcoming ranch-like atmosphere, making it an ideal dining destination for families and groups exploring the Marina Bay area. The establishment prides itself on hand-breading every piece of chicken and ensuring that all orders are freshly fried upon request, demonstrating their commitment to quality over speed in an industry often dominated by pre-prepared fast food.\n\nThe menu showcases CHIC-A-BOO's specialty in mouthwatering fresh and tender fried chicken, complemented by an impressive selection of sides, burgers, and creative offerings at value-for-money bundle pricing. Signature items include their generously portioned fried chicken sets for 5 featuring 6 pieces of chicken, 6 nuggets, and 3 side dishes, while individual meals starting around .90 include fried chicken, battered fish, two customizable sides, corn muffin, and a drink. Popular sides such as perfectly seasoned potato wedges and curly fries, along with unique offerings like dinosaur nuggets and chowder bread bowls, provide diverse options that cater to both adults and children seeking comfort food with a twist.\n\nWhat distinguishes Chic-a-boo from conventional fast food establishments is their focus on made-to-order preparation and customer customization, combined with self-service efficiency that keeps prices competitive. The chicken consistently receives praise for being well-marinated, succulent inside with a crispy, flavorful exterior that features interesting herby seasoning. While the restaurant offers both counter service and self-service kiosks for ordering convenience, the spacious seating arrangement and absence of service charges make it an attractive alternative to pricier Marina Bay dining options. Despite occasional service inconsistencies, Chic-a-boo has established itself as one of the premier halal fried chicken destinations in Singapore, offering genuine value for money with portions and quality that often exceed customer expectations.

Just placed an order for 4 pieces of chicken a-la-carte. At $3.80/piece, I requested drumsticks and thighs. Totally disappointed. They decided to give me 4 pieces of breast meat. Well done! What's the point of paying $3.80/piece when you can't get what you're paying for? Never buying from them again.

We ordered the Cheesy burger, fried fish set, pulled chicken salad, and Japanese curry rice. All tasted okay except the curry rice, which was miserably small (like a kid's meal) and not worth the $10.90 price. We would definitely order the chicken again, but not the rest, if we return.

Super slow in ordering & preparation, order a take-out 3 pcs set meal and took more than 45 minutes

Ordering and preparation were super slow. I ordered a 3-piece set meal for takeaway and waited for over 45 minutes. Someone who arrived 10 minutes after me, ordered the same food and dined in, received their food much earlier. I suspect there's a double standard between takeaway and dine-in orders. When I finally received my order, there was no spoon for my soup, no chili sauce, or napkin – just the chicken. The food tasted so-so. WILL NOT EVER VISIT AGAIN.

Quietly situated at the corner, without much queue. The food came neither hot nor warm – the taste was okay. It would probably be better if served hot. The nachos were great as a room temperature snack.

Really disappointed. The fried chicken was juicy, which was its only saving grace. However, the chicken soup was bland, the burger bun was so-so, and the "hot" burger flavor was unpleasant. Even the coating on the fried chicken was terribly thick. I expected better.

Pleasantly surprised at the quality of the food especially the fried fish was succulent and full wit

Pleasantly surprised at the quality of the food, especially the fried fish which was succulent and full of tasty fish meat. The sides are wholesome with two choices, and of good portion and quality. The meal is completed with a drink of one choice from a number of selections. Given the price, it was definitely worth repeat visits!

Love them for this $0.20 deal on their anniversary. This was my first time trying Chic a Boo, and I'm really pleasantly surprised by the quality of their fried chicken. It was super crisp, tender, and juicy, and the Spicy version had a good kick. Special shoutout to the manager who was actively helping customers get a table and assisting with orders at the same time.

Queued for their 20th anniversary celebration offer at 20cents for a piece of chicken and mashed pot

Queued for their 20th anniversary celebration offer at 20 cents for a piece of chicken and mashed potatoes for an early lunch around 11 am+. I am very impressed with their management, organization of the queue, and service. Generally, I find the staff's attitude and service at this outlet good! They have 2 types of chicken - hot 'n' spicy or favorite. The favorite chicken tasted fairly juicy.

The fish and chips are good, but what truly shines here are their variety of side offerings. The curly fries are one of the best I've had from fast-food restaurants, and the coleslaw portion is generous.

I visited this outlet on a Sunday afternoon around 2 PM. Despite the limited non-air-conditioned seating, the experience was enjoyable. Ordering was quick and easy, with contactless payment options available. My 3-piece chicken meal, served with two sides and a drink, was ready in no time. The spicy fried chicken was particularly delicious, and I appreciated the variety of sides—curly fries were a treat, and the mashed potatoes were decent. I also liked the option to select sides. A highlight was the staff’s thoughtful service, offering to hold my meal while I took my child to the restroom, ensuring it was safe from stray birds. Overall, a pleasant first visit that I’ll likely repeat.
