Crolo by Swee Heng represents the innovative evolution of Singapore's beloved Swee Heng Bakery legacy, launched in January 2021 by founder Eric Ng as a specialized halal-certified concept dedicated to bringing premium croissant culture to Singapore's heartlands. Inspired by a transformative visit to a Japanese-style croissant store in Taiwan, Eric embarked on a year-long research and development journey to create affordable, authentic croissants that would make French pastry artistry accessible to all communities. This groundbreaking venture combines the trusted Swee Heng heritage of quality baking with contemporary croissant innovation, establishing itself as the first major halal-certified croissant specialist in Singapore's competitive bakery landscape.
The menu at Crolo showcases over 30 meticulously crafted varieties of croissants, spanning both sweet and savory creations that demonstrate remarkable culinary creativity and technical precision. Signature offerings include decadent Blackforest and mentaiko crolo, seasonal apple crumble and mango custard variations, rich chocolate ganache selections, and innovative snow crab croissants that blend French technique with Asian flavors. Each croissant is baked fresh daily from scratch, ensuring the perfect balance of buttery richness and flaky texture, with pricing strategically positioned at $1.30 for small croissants and $2.80 for larger varieties. The bakery's signature buy-6-get-2 promotion makes premium croissants exceptionally accessible to families and regular customers.
Since obtaining MUIS halal certification, Crolo by Swee Heng has successfully democratized French pastry culture for Singapore's Muslim community while establishing strategic locations in Tampines, Ang Mo Kio, and Northpoint to serve heartland residents. The venture's success reflects Singapore's appetite for innovative halal baking concepts that respect traditional techniques while embracing local preferences and accessibility. Crolo continues to expand the definition of halal bakeries in Singapore, proving that premium European pastry traditions can be authentically adapted to serve diverse communities without compromising on quality, flavor, or craftsmanship.

Don't bother. The pastry looks nice, but the taste isn't the same. The croissant is tough, and the Milo Dinosaur filling is hard. To me, this combination just doesn't make sense.

I just bought 5 pieces of the croissant from this shop and wasn't happy with the packing. The Malay staff just dumped them into the plastic bag. Look at the chocolate, it was smashed all over and didn't look appetising. Not to mention about the custard. Sorry, I will not be back again. I've never encountered such bad packing service at the Northpoint or Seletar Mall outlets.

So many bakes that look super good! However, taste-wise, they taste like normal bakes. They seem to specialise in croissants and croffles! Prices are from the $1.20 - $3.50 range. The place is nice and cute.

I couldn't taste the chocolate in the Choco bread or croissant. It wasn't good, and I won't buy it again.

Crolo by Swee Heng offers a wide range of croissants, including chicken mayo, fresh mango custard, and peach custard. My favorite is the tuna. There are others like black forest and tiramisu, so there are lots of choices to try when I visit again.

Don't ever change the recipe for the chocolate pistachio croissant. It's so heavenly. I also tried the savoury croissant and the scrambled grilled chicken. They were good too.

I bought one yesterday to try. The price was affordable (around $2.70) and it was so good and yummy! I came back again today and bought four! :D They have different flavours today, and I can't wait to try them! Oh, and the packaging is so nice too. They put them in containers instead of plastic, so the croffle toppings are not affected. So much thought has been put into it! I really love this store :)

Another store that captivated me was Crolo, where everything looked picturesque and I wanted to try it all. However, I was limited by stomach space, so I ordered the egg mayo fish croissant. Overall, the quality was there; it tasted fresh, was good, and looked good. The service by the staff was also great. I would highly recommend it and will be back to try more, be it here or at other outlets

General: This is a sort of croffle/croissant place by Swee Heng, selling mostly these two items. They have a super worth-it offer of buy 6 croissants/croffles, and you’re allowed to pick 2 for free!! It was really crowded; I had to wait 15-20 minutes to order. The hype is real!

I’ll write my reviews based on a clockwise manner, starting from the mango croffle.
This croffle was topped with fresh, sour mangoes and almond flakes. The croffle itself wasn't very crunchy; it was rather soft, but the mangoes and almond flakes were of high quality, creating a perfect balance of sweet and sour. ☺️☺️
This croissant was topped with Biscoff spread and a Lotus biscuit. I felt that the Biscoff spread was too much, which made the croissant too sweet, but since I love Biscoff, it wasn't a problem for me.
My favourite one of all! This croissant was topped with a red velvet cake spread with cream cheese on top and marble sweets. It's really the best one for me because the cake went so well with the cream cheese, and it's truly the best croissant EVERR!
This was also quite nice, topped with cream cheese and two super moist and soft Oreos in between. It was really filling and tasty.
I didn’t really like this one. The apples were too sour, and the croffle was soggy. In my opinion, the croffles AREN'T what you should get from Crollo; do get the croissants instead!!
I didn’t like this at all. There was too much cream cheese in the cake, it was very clumped together, and that’s it.
Overall: 7/10
