The food is good, but the customer service is very bad. The fair-skinned woman who served us was very rude. I didn't believe the feedback from other customers until I experienced it myself. She was very, very rude. No matter how good the food was, my appetite was spoiled by the service. I will never buy again.

It was a bit of a hit and miss. I ordered a nasi sambal goreng set with sambal sotong. The bagedil, tahu, and serunding were especially good, but the sotong was bitter and I had to throw it out. I also got the ayam bumbu, and it was unfortunately very dry, though aromatic.

This was our second time here, and we thought the lady's attitude was going to be better. She was so damn rude. Her face looked like we owed her money. I asked for daun soup in my Mee Soto, but she said, "Tu ada" (meaning "it's there"). I looked and saw only three tiny pieces of daun soup. After that, I had no mood to eat. If your food is delicious but your attitude sucks, sorry lah, today is my last time. Excuse me, I don't owe you money, okay? So please change your face and attitude. If you're not happy, don't work here. The worst customer service I've ever experienced!

I have held my tongue for far too long, but here goes; this eatery has garnered raving reviews, so I proceeded to tapao (takeaway). The takeaway experience did not do justice to the reviews, plus the fact that I was charged an exorbitant amount close to $10 for mediocre sotong, small servings of dishes, and a tiny piece of babat. This is very disappointing. I switched my tastebuds to this stall thinking that the queues were signs that the food was fantastic; this was a very wrong perception. Please, I urge you, for the price point, increase the servings so the ratio is proportional. Thank you.

The lady was very rude during the ordering process. I understand she was wearing a mask, but that doesn't give her the right to give customers a black face when they can't hear her. The food is great, but I won't be coming back due to this unpleasant experience.

This stall serves equally good food, and its prices are better than Sinar Pagi, which one reviewer said you have to go to the bank for. Gerai Nenek has some delicious dishes, although not as many as their neighbour. The stallholders are friendly and obliging and do not overcharge you. This is my third time buying food or eating there, and they do not disappoint. The food is tasty; I packed four packets of fried fish, fried omelette, sambal goreng, and some achaar, and the portions are quite big. Topped up with some Ayam masak lemak gravy and sambal belacan for $7/-, which I consider reasonable. Should I be in the vicinity of Geylang Serai Market, I would patronise this stall again.

Celebrating Chinese New Year, but decided to order some delicious food from Gerai Nenek Obek for my family instead. It came just in time for lunch and received all praises from my family. The food arrived hot even though we stay at far west, and their chilli... gawwddd... it goes so well with all their dishes. Thank you so much G.N.O!

First time trying this dish and I was wowed by the taste of the peanut sauce, sambal sotong, and the freshly fried paru. It's priced at $7 for two meat and two sides, plus steamed kangkong and bean sprouts.

Great tasting authentic Malay dishes are served here. I highly recommend trying the ayam balado (chicken balado) and paru goreng (fried beef lung) especially. Pricing-wise, it's about the same as other nasi padang stalls there (slightly cheaper). I don't really know why other reviews are blasting them about the price.
