The crispy wings were very flavourful and juicy! However, the photo from Grab delivery was very misleading. Perhaps vegetables shouldn't be included in the picture when there are actually none!

I used to love Uncle Penyet because their sambal was incredibly potent. Super spicy, yet it made you crave more! I was even willing to pay for an extra packet of sambal. However, nowadays the sambal tastes like regular sambal belachan – it lacks spiciness. The sambal also now comes in smaller packaging. It's sad that I have to stop ordering from my favorite shop. I guess this is the end for us...

The batter of the chicken for Ayan Penyet can be hit or miss. Depending on your luck, sometimes it looks very nice, but other times it looks like the chicken has put up a big fight, leaving only exposed flesh. I ordered through self-collection via Foodpanda. They don't entertain special requests, and they are the only F&B establishment I've encountered on Foodpanda where self-collection requires signing a piece of paper, just like food riders. They could have simply asked self-collectors to swipe 'order collected' on the app.

Whenever I'm craving Ayam penyet and too lazy to head out, this is my go-to for food delivery. It usually arrives still warm/hot, and they pack it well (the curry is separated by default so the rice doesn't get soggy). We usually add on extra curry (which is very good), keropok, and golden crumbs.

Came here for lunch with a colleague on a busy Sunday, and the service was great. The food was prepared fast and it was good. Love their sweet-spicy homemade sambal chilli. Will definitely come back again to try their other items on the menu! Thumbs up!

I'm guessing this is the branch that caters to my order (Katong area) via Deliveroo. I've ordered their food a few times and enjoyed it. However, the deterring factor for me to order their food is that they do not have any vegetable dishes (e.g., stir-fried mixed veg or sambal kangkung etc.) on their menu at all. I would've given a 5-star rating if they had.
