This is not nasi ayam penyet. Even the sambal you provided tasted more like sambal belacan, instead of the sambal penyet usually served in Indonesia. Typical nasi ayam penyet doesn't come with curry sauce, but I think you added it to cater to local tastes. I feel this dish would be better suited to the name nasi kukus. I'm a bit disappointed, mainly with the sambal.

Rude staff. The food is good, but unfortunately, the staff's attitude and behaviour towards customers left a bitter taste. I've gone here several times for food because their dishes are genuinely good, but I've faced multiple upsetting experiences that have left me not wanting to visit this outlet anymore. It's to the extent that I've told my friends and relatives not to frequent this outlet.

Wished the flavour had more kick, but otherwise, it's just a normal Ayam Penyet stall. The chicken size is huge though, which is great. $9.8 for a set meal that comes with bakso soup. Located at the Kampung Admiralty food court.

This outlet is really one of a kind. The staff are not friendly at all, especially the Chinese lady. They have the curry chicken set for $2.80, and they refused to sell it. I came twice. Once was in the evening, and they said it was finished. Okay, fine, maybe it was late. Today, I came again on a Thursday at 12:30 pm and was again told it was finished. How could it be finished when previously, when I patronized this store at 10:30-11 am, they said the curry was not even ready to be served, and I would normally have to wait? The irony of this was that there was a pot full of chicken curry brewing on the stove when she said it was finished. If you're going to sell a dish for that price, then make sure you're sincere in doing so. This is the problem I find with some Malay stalls: their reluctance and selfishness.

I didn't know in SG, I could pay people to scold me. This is my 3rd buy. The owner is not around, sadly they allowed makciks who don't know what they are doing. I observed customers were angry that their food was taking a long time and was late. And guess what, a Malay Aunty spoke ill of me in Malay (and I am an SG citizen - Malaysian). Apart from that, the chicken is smelly? Like they didn't even defrost it before cooking. That defrosting blood smell... And the Aunty with massive dark eye circles, quite known to have a bad mouth (trust me, many stall owners know her for her peculiar character), spoke badly of me when I 'forgot' to inform about my order. Pics here. Finished all the rice, threw away the chicken. (Chinese Owners, you know what to do. Just let them continue tarnishing your name, or else one day you will see a blood cow head hanging over your stall).

I had a takeaway. The meal comprised of grilled chicken, cherry tomatoes, lettuce, rice, and sauces. The chicken was marinated and grilled well, and it tasted good too. The curry and sambal sauce were neatly packed in small containers. It wasn’t too spicy, which I liked. The only grouse is the rice portion; they could have been a little more generous. Even though I’m a light eater, I still found it not substantial enough.

Great ayam penyet and grilled chicken, though I would love it if the chilli could be more generous and spicier.

One of the best stalls serving Ayam Penyet and other food. It costs $6.80 for a serving of Ayam Penyet with rice, bean curd, vegetables, and cherry tomatoes. The piece of chicken is a drumstick with thigh, and it comes with curry and sambal. Very nice.

This was my first time here, and I also brought my own box for takeaway. The food was good and the portion was decent. I bought the Panggang chicken (which amused me as it sounded like 'end-work' chicken in Hokkien). The chicken was fragrant and nicely marinated. The curry drizzled on top of the rice was fragrant, not spicy, and mildly sweet. What surprised me the most was the chilli! It is so good! With the chilli being this nice, I assume the ayam penyet should be good too. I will purchase that to try next time.
