The food is really nice. It suits my taste and I love it, but the place is VERY HOT. I don't understand why there's no air conditioning. What is so difficult for a restaurant to just fix its aircons? Mosquitoes and other insects are flying in, and it's, once again, very hot.

Absolutely terrible customer service — avoid this place if you value your time and money! I bought Grab vouchers and travelled all the way from the East JUST to eat here, only to be told I couldn’t use the voucher because “my manager says so.” Seriously? That’s their excuse? I fulfilled every single term and condition stated on the voucher, yet when I asked to speak to the manager, the staff just gave me attitude and brushed me off with a dismissive “the manager’s not in” — and that was it. No explanation, no accountability, just a waste of my time and effort. If you have no intention of honouring your vouchers, then DON’T put them up for sale in the first place. Don’t lure people in, make them travel all the way down, then turn them away without a valid reason. “Because my manager says so” is not good enough — it’s downright disrespectful. Absolutely disappointing. Never coming back, and I’ll make sure everyone I know stays far away too. Do better.

Service is a bit on the slow side, especially considering there were more staff than customers. However, overall, $8 for pepper chicken with white rice, tomyam soup (kinda), and a lime juice is acceptable. The environment is okay. If commenting on the food alone, I'd prefer hawker food, which is probably tastier.

The food is not as good as it used to be, and the portion was small. When ordering noodles with soup, the bowl was quite shallow and I received more vegetables than actual noodles. I was not pleased even with basic dishes like mee goreng; it looked better than it tasted. The price was okay, but I expected more for the portion size. The atmosphere in the restaurant was very dark and hot. There are ceiling fans, but since it's a closed space, air conditioning would be more suitable and comfortable.

DO NOT COME! I ordered shrimp, and not only was the portion disappointingly small, but the shrimp were also served raw. When I pointed this out, the staff didn't offer to prepare a new batch; instead, they simply reheated the same shrimp, causing the sauce to burn onto them. This made the dish inedible. While the waitress was polite and attentive, the restaurant's disregard for food quality and customer satisfaction was evident. This experience has led me to question their commitment to quality and professionalism. I won't be returning and cannot recommend this establishment to others!! DONOT COME!

Everything was good. Excellent, though the lamb chop was a bit salty. But overall, five stars. Thank you. On another day (22 March 2025), we came for our break fast during Ramadan with a total of 18 people. Food and drinks were average. We also had a birthday celebration. The staff were friendly and helpful (Din and Su). Overall, we will surely dine/takeaway again. Food etc. could be better, Mr. Chef.

Alhamdulillah, I had the pleasure of dining at Kampung Yassin Food, and I must say, it was an amazing experience! The flavors were authentic and rich, just like traditional kampung-style cooking. Every dish I tried was fresh, well-seasoned, and comforting. The staff were friendly and attentive, making the whole experience even more enjoyable. I particularly loved their signature dishes—they truly stand out and leave a lasting impression. The portion sizes are generous, and the prices are very reasonable. For anyone looking for wholesome, delicious, and authentic Malay cuisine, Kampung Yassin Food is a must-visit. I can’t wait to come back and try more!

Superb service and nice food. We arrived at 11:30 am on Sunday, and more diners came in after 1 pm. A washing basin for hands is also available. The toilets and diaper changing room are very near. Bidets are available on every toilet bowl, which is the best and cleanest way to clean yourself.

The food is decent for its price. $7 for mee goreng and $5.50 for nasi lemak is not bad. The taste is good too, but it's a bit too spicy! So be careful with the chilli you add! The desserts are great - the chendol tastes authentic. Unfortunately, the place is not really air-conditioned, or at least I didn't feel any of it, so it was very warm. Service is great though; they specially carved out a space for my dad in his wheelchair.
