The food portion was small and it was so bland. The cook seemed to just want to get the orders done and over with. I was here a year ago and the standard has dropped drastically. Please improve!!

As someone who has worked at Pepper Lunch, I must admit that at first, it was a close fight. I ordered the "beef pepper rice" and observed their whole cooking process. Everything seemed fine until they served it. Before serving, they poured a spoonful of black pepper sauce onto the hotplate. This was a rather poor decision as it caused the entire dish to splatter, and the oil got onto my hands and face. The food was too salty, and the corn was overly sweet. I suspect they used chicken powder or some seasoning, but it was excessive and made the dish too salty. They provided garlic sauce and soy sauce as well, but I couldn't add them to my rice because the food was already too salty. Honestly, the more I ate, the more disgusted I felt. If you want pepper rice, just go to Pepper Lunch. Even though it's pricier, I feel it tastes better there. However, for a budget option, and if you don't mind getting splattered on, then you can come here. Lol. Follow iz_foodie_recos on Insta for more reviews!

I regularly order the new rice bowl. However, many times when I specifically order the "Thai basil rice," they always say it's finished. Once or twice, I didn't suspect much. But after encountering the same answer repeatedly for 3-4 times, I found it odd. On the same day, when ordering at the counter, they again said "finished." So, I tried ordering through Foodpanda, and I was able to get the dish I wanted. I'm not sure of the reason behind this, but I find it strange.

First time trying this stall. Although a bit expensive for this dish, it was wonderfully tasty and fragrant, so much so that I forgot to take a photo of the actual dish. But the empty grill plate tells the full story.

Not surprised by their ratings. Their meat is super dry. The only nice thing here is their rice. But for the price, it's a cheaper option than Pepper Lunch. Quality-wise, however, it's far off.
