The food is totally not worth the price. I tried the seafood mala from White Sands for the second time yesterday, and the quality was inconsistent compared to the first time. After reading some reviews, most of the good ones seem suspicious. It is bland and does not taste good. Located beside Stuff'd, I'm quite disappointed that the price is not justifiable with the quality of food.

This was my first time trying soup from here, and I was a little overwhelmed by the options on the menu. I decided on the batang fish value set as I was hungry. I only realized it was purely soup without any carbs after I reached home, so do remember to add rice if you need carbs. I was quite disappointed by this store because I didn't know the fish soup was the milky type. Usually, at hawker stores, they'll ask if you want milk in your soup, but not here. I'm not sure if you can request a non-milk version too. The batang fish was the thinly sliced type. The soup was also filled mostly with cabbages and tau kwa. I also disliked that the ginger was in bite-sized pieces. I accidentally chewed on a few and hated the sudden burst of ginger flavour in my mouth. Although the container they used is big, one-third of it is actually empty. My favourite part of this meal is the chilli. The tangy chilli goes really well with the fish, so I do recommend you try the chilli. I feel the additional $2 is not worth it for the added ingredients. It might be better to opt for the standard size and add rice for a more filling meal. I think I'm too spoiled by our local hawkers' versions of fish soup. If you're a fan of milky soup and thinly sliced fish, this place is for you! I have yet to try out other soups, but I think I'll be avoiding this place for now.

$8.90 for a bowl of toman fish soup. My soup was served with old, tough vegetables. The fish were very chewy and had a strong fishy taste. I don't feel that the quality of the soup justifies the pricing. At least guarantee fresh ingredients.

Regardless of whether you dine in or take away, the food will be served in disposable containers and packed in a bag. So, if you are eating there (there are some chairs and tables next to the stall), you would need to take the food out of the plastic bag to dine in.
Food-wise, it's just okay, like normal hawker food but in an air-conditioned environment. The set is $6.80 including rice, and any vegetable add-on is $0.60, which is quite reasonable.

This tomato-based la mian costs $11.20. The portion and protein are so abysmal that this will be my last time here. I can get more protein from a McDonald's burger than this sad-looking meal. My mistake is your gain, please avoid.

Excellent fish soup for the price point! The fish soup is creamy, rich in flavour, and very well boiled. You can taste the essence from the fish bone broth. They even add quinoa to the rice! Value for money. 10/10, would come back again.

I've been a big fan of the Mala Seafood soup and have returned for it 3-4 times. The quality isn't always super consistent, and perhaps I've just been lucky, but most of the time, my Mala soup has been good. It's not the spiciest, but it has enough flavour. The fish isn't the best, but I LOVE the generous vegetable ingredients. I will continue to go back because it's the best Mala fish soup I've had.

The soups are comforting and tasty, paired with rice or noodles. Each dish offers the option to choose a different soup base and meat or fish. It’s a filling meal with very delicious soups full of vegetables, meat, and a little bit of mushroom. I got this when I was feeling sick, and it helped a lot. It comes piping hot, so I would advise letting it cool down. The atmosphere here was not great; it's a little small, quite warm, will make your clothes smell like food, and there were many fruit flies trying to get to your food. I would recommend taking it to-go instead of dining in.
