Firstly, this store overcharged me. If I hadn’t checked the receipt, I wouldn’t have known they charged me for items I didn’t order. If I hadn’t approached them to clarify, I would have been conned. Secondly, it’s their policy. It’s stated clearly on the menu that their plain prata has a minimum of 2 pieces per order ($1.10 per piece). However, I ordered 3 pieces, which is more than their minimum requirement, and they charged me (2 x $1.10 and 1 x $1.30). Who has the right to state that only even numbers get charged $1.10 per piece, while odd numbers have to be charged $1.30? All of their prata prices are way too steep. One cheese prata is $3.80, one normal egg prata is $2.20, and a double egg prata is $2.20 + $1. They price their eggs at $1 per piece; they must be using some golden organic eggs. And lastly, I specifically told the packing guy that I needed only 2 curries: one vegetarian and one fish curry. He pre-prepared one chicken and one fish. I told him AGAIN, and guess what? He was smart enough to give me another fish curry. As a customer who has to encounter multiple errors and disagreements, I will never ever visit and purchase from them again. Go at your own risk to see it for yourself.

This stall is Kamala Restaurant's first branch outside of their main outlet at Tekka Centre. It is located within the new Muslim-friendly coffee shop, Kedai Kopi, at Blk 376 Bukit Batok Street 31, beside Giant Hypermart. Expect fares such as chili chicken briyani, thosai, and pratas. The stall opens on 01 September 2023. The nearest MRT station is Bukit Gombak.

We recently went there to eat. There were three staff members, but only one was actively working. The other two weren't doing much, which resulted in a long queue as one person handled everything. We waited for a very long time. It would be good to have a proper system in place and train them adequately. By 12 PM, the white rice was sold out, and they said it would take an hour to cook more. Only biryani rice was available. Aiyoh... The food was tasty, but the service was extremely slow and poor. The staff also didn't communicate properly. Please look into this. Thanks.

The food was really bad. I ordered Naan and mutton masala. What I received was some pathetic Naan that looked like it was reheated after 10 years! The mutton masala was like mutton dalca, and the portion was so small. I rated the atmosphere higher because the food court has been renovated and looks nice (but that's not due to Kamala restaurant).

I found a piece of dishwashing scrubber in my vegetable set meal. After eating half the rice, I felt something unusual in my mouth and spat it out. I was shocked to see the scrubber piece. I had a stomach upset and vomited 5 times the next morning. A very disturbing experience.

I've eaten here many times. This is a good place if you need Indian food in this area. The Butter Chicken is very nice, and the Chapati quality is also awesome. The hot rassam is superb. The Chicken Masala is also good, but a bit oily for me; perhaps it's normal for some people. The staff working here are very hardworking and polite to customers. The food is light to digest (depending on the dish), and you can eat here daily if you don't have access to a kitchen in your room. The price is also reasonable. The atmosphere is good, but the smell of seafood from other stalls might put you off if you are vegetarian. This food stall is way better than the banana leaf place in Bukit Gombak in the same area.

Absolutely horrible. We ordered through Grab, and it was nothing like the one at Tekka. There were chunks of ghee in my biryani, and it tasted completely different from what we expected. The rice was sticky, almost like porridge. I threw it away after a few mouthfuls. Extremely disappointed.
