The teh halia is one of the poorest made i had ever tasted...over brewed tea with bad aftertaste gin
The teh halia was one of the poorest I've ever tasted. The tea was over-brewed with a bad ginger aftertaste, and I couldn't taste the milk at all. I had to add more milk to counter the yuck aftertaste. The teh tarik bought was fair, though it could have been better.

We visited on 19 September 2025 at 7:30 PM. The two staff members working at Yassin Kampung (the cashier and the cook) were not welcoming. Upon our arrival, they gave us hostile looks. When we started to order, one of them seemed to judge us for using a CDC voucher. We also requested takeaways. Initially, I requested a takeaway and was not charged. However, when a non-Malay customer requested a takeaway, she was charged 30 cents. The staff need more training in manners and customer service. We treated them with respect, but they did not reciprocate. Please look into this matter as it may affect more customers. The chickie cashier was friendly and even recommended good flavours for their chickens.

We went on Saturday night after it had rained. The place was quite cool and windy after the rain. Not all the stalls were open, but we ordered the roti sarung burung for $8 and naan with masala chicken for $12. Both were quite nice to my taste. The tables were cleaned, and the atmosphere was comfortable too.

Overall, the concept was nice... but it stops there.
The food was bland. Price on the higher side.
Overall, the concept was nice, but that's where it ended.
The food was bland and priced on the higher side. Even though there were fewer people when I visited, the service was still slow.
The Sarang Burung Prata was just okay and quite expensive. I wouldn't recommend the BBQ Korean Set; it's really not worth it. Also, avoid the Thai Chendol – I'm not sure what they were serving.
The food tray return area wasn't cleared for about two hours, which made the place look a bit messy.

Came to try Bobmi noodles and Ramly burger here. The noodles (lijio) were quite good, but some might find them a bit pricey at $7.90 for what seems like a Bak Chor Mee equivalent at a hawker centre. The Ramly burger was okay, but again, $7 for the burger alone seems a tad pricey.
Overall, the ambience was not great. It's tucked right at the end of Yishun (though it's near Yishun MRT), quite dim, and doesn't exude a clean vibe somehow. There were giant fans installed, which helped since there's no AC.
Also tried the Singbola chicken rice, which was quite good. The rice was fragrant and the chicken tender. I loved the spicy chilli sauce.

Had my late lunch here. We ordered pasta and a burger from Ashes Burnnit. The food was very tasty. You can also order drinks with them. Service was fast. Portions were okay. I ordered the hot chilli beef burger. To me, the patty was a bit dry, but the chilli was good. However, I still love their pulled brisket burger. Will come back and try other menu items.

Nice place with a good atmosphere, would recommend trying it.
It's pricey.
The coin prata from Yassin Kampung was good.
Language was an issue as the chicken Malai kebab was initially mistaken when they pressed the buzzer for a kebab with briyani.
The kebab was good, and the palak Paneer was okay.
We ordered sambal stingray, which was $17 but not too bad. The mee goreng from the same stall was okay.
We ordered satays & oats which only came in portions of 5. Not too bad either.
The drink store staff was quite unfriendly and came across as a little rude.

I was initially hesitant to visit due to the low overall rating but was pleasantly surprised. It seems like the stalls change hands quite often, as some of the ones mentioned by previous reviewers no longer exist.
I tried the bakmie, coin prata, Lok Lok, and charcoal burgers, as I saw them mentioned in reviews, and they were delicious. I will definitely be back and look forward to trying more food. I also love the vibes and outdoor space.
Hope this lovely place continues to serve residents in the area!
P.S. This place is barely open in the afternoon (I visited on a Saturday), so I recommend visiting in the evening for the full experience!

Most of the stores close at 12mn. The Prata opens 24hrs. The satay here is good, $1 per stick.

Ordered from 3 shops:
1) Bobmie: Finally got to try this shop and the Ying Yang was a bowl of comfort, 7/10.
2) Ashes Burnit: Tried the Chilli Short Ribs Cheeseburger and they actually pulled the flavour off well, 9/10.
3) Chickies: The soy garlic was too sweet, but the seaweed was so good, tasted like McDonald's shaker fries. Their tater tots truffle was okay, 7/10.
The atmosphere though… a bit off? It was a Sunday night, but the vibe was giving 'dead'. So, I don't know what's up.
