I was extremely hungry and got a takeaway for laksa noodles. I was baffled when I opened it. To my horror, there was raw chicken. How could someone not realise when they put it in? I disposed of it all without having a single bite. Disgusting.

Went to Terminal 4 public mamak restaurant. Lousy to the max. Drinks were awesome, specifically the Thai tea and iced Milo. Food was terrible. The tendon soup was just okay, spicy for those who love chilli. The mee siam was watery, no need to elaborate on watery mee siam. The mee rebus was another level of regret buying. The strawberry toast bread was acceptable.

The toast wasn’t that crunchy, and the soft-boiled egg was a bit on the raw side. The tea was diluted despite its color. A bit disappointing for this experience.

We ate here because we were hungry after arriving from our flight and didn't want to fuss or think about where to eat, as it was already 9pm. It looked promising when we were eyeing the menu. We ordered laksa, chicken rendang, and mee siam. The laksa was lacklustre, with the noodles being overcooked and the ingredients quite meagre for the $6.90 we paid. The gravy was also barely enough, so it didn't make for a very tasty dish, but it wasn't bad enough for me to give it any lower than 3 stars. The chicken rendang had a healthy portion size and looked good, but the taste betrayed the looks, with the chicken clearly not well-marinated enough. The mee siam was just a standard mee siam, so I won't bother writing too much about it. All in all, an average meal which satisfied hungry travellers arriving from a budget flight that didn't serve any meals.

The noodle soup was amazing, and it was great that we could get more chilli to add to the soup ourselves! Such a great restaurant!

During our recent visit to Changi Airport Terminal 4, we had the pleasure of dining at Ma Mum restaurant, and it turned out to be a wonderful experience. We tried the Mee Siam Chicken Delight (MS3) and the Mee Siam Grilled Chicken (MS4). Both dishes came in generous portions, which we found very satisfying after a long day of travel. The Mee Siam was flavorful, with a unique twist – both dishes included slices of mandarin orange, adding a noticeable sweetness to the overall taste. As Sri Lankans, we are more accustomed to spicy and savory flavors, so the sweet notes were a bit unexpected. However, it was a refreshing change and a memorable culinary experience that highlighted the fusion of local tastes with a touch of creativity. The dining area at Ma Mum is spacious and comfortable, making it an ideal spot for travelers looking for a relaxed meal before their flight. The service was efficient, and it’s convenient that they accept both card and cash payments. We also noticed that the restaurant is quite popular among travelers, with many guests choosing to have a final taste of Singaporean flavors here before departing. Overall, Ma Mum restaurant offers a pleasant dining experience with quality food, generous portions, and a comfortable environment. We would definitely recommend it to anyone passing through Terminal 4, especially those looking to enjoy a local dish with a slight modern twist before leaving Singapore.

Nice mee rebus. The sauce is thick, and adding the rendang chicken option makes it more worth it.

Conveniently located in T4 (very close to the shuttle bus waiting area), Ma Mum is a good option for a quick breakfast. The classic half-boiled eggs & toast set is a popular choice, with the eggs cooked to perfection. However, it's advisable to use the soy sauce sparingly, as it was too thick and quickly darkened the eggs. Ready-made food such as drinks were served at the order/payment counter. For dishes that require preparation, diners need to self-collect at the side counter when the buzzer sounds. To maintain cleanliness, diners are responsible for clearing their tables and returning trays/utensils to the designated area.

Fast service, taste not bad, and price-wise moderate. Still acceptable, but I wish my mum could have come along. I really like the beef tendon dry noodles.
